Sunday lunch was good and I had the roast beef . The staff were very helpful and professional.

Had Sunday lunch here and a disappointing result. Obviously understaffed on the day, which i have taken into account, yet still charged 12.5% for service.Meals put in front if us in a very rushed manner and I had to go and asked for the accompanying veg.Very poorly presented Gin and Tonic with no garnish and a few slivers of melted ice cubes. Sorry, but would not return based on this experience.

Pretty decent place, the rooms to stay in are lovely, small but with everything you would need for staying in the area. The only thing to be careful of is the way the staff do business. After the bar staff had clocked off they asked if we wanted a cocktail as they were in the process of making some for themselves. We thought this was very friendly however they showed up on our bill when checking out, pretty under handed if you ask me

Really lovely little place, you walk through the bar over a small indoor bridge over a tiny stream to the restaurant which has a very cosy atmosphere. Ate Saturday evening dinner, starter was a baked camembert, was garlic and herb infused with some lovely crusty bread, one of the best ones I've had. Main was essentially pork belly with some dauphinoise potatoes, was nice but not the best I've had, pork was not as tender as could be and crackling was not as crunchy as could be but was still very nice. Sticky toffee pudding for desert was good, huge portion, I thought it was a sharer! Service was also excellent. Well priced too. In all really enjoyed the evening and would 100% recommend, little hidden gem in the middle of the countryside, enjoy

Called in on the off chance. Ordered some food and was very impressed.We only stopped in for a quick bite on the way somewhere but plan on going back for a meal some time.

Really nice pub/restaurant we came in for Sunday lunch and the food was spot on. There is a river that runs through the middle of the pub which is a lovely feature.

We went for a Sunday lunch which isn't always a good test. The staff were absolutely brilliant and really helpful. The food was OK but certainly wasn't outstanding. I had roast pork which in itself was fine but the vegetables were lacklustre and the Yorkshire pudding really wasn't good. I think the burgers were probably a better option and the venison one in particular would have been a better choice.It was busy so is obviously popular.

Fabulous service all night. Food was incredible and perfectly timed. We are here for a significant birthday and have all been treated very well so far. Would absolutely recommend and evening or overnight stay at the Fontmell. As a side, all of the girls serving have been on top form - very polite and accommodating, thank you all.

The best Wellington I have ever had!! The food was absolutely sublime, my partner took me for my birthday and I am very particular about where we go for dinner as I am an ex chef and she suprised me with this gem of a restaurant, the service was amazing and the food was even better! The food looked as good as it tasted and the portion sizes! I was worried that I would leave hungry but no I left with a takeaway bag! Would 100% recommend we will be back a million percent
