Good beer choice.

We were hoping for food, but its s wet pub, so only rolls. Looks nice and comfortable and the barman suggested alternatives.

Ok place, landlord not very welcoming and pretty cold in the bar, on a plus note the cider was good 😉

I really enjoyed my time in the phoenix. All the customers were friendly, and the barmaid was very nice. I found the prices very reasonable for the area too

New chef, wow! Best roast for a very long time, and the Yorkshire Puddings, incredible. Excellent value as well at £7.95

Average small town pub, quite comfortable but with a somewhat 'quaint' atmosphere. The first time I called in for a swift pint I found myself surrounded by little old ladies 'taking tea' - I thought I'd been wafted back to the 'thirties! Three pumps but only one on - Badger. Say no more. Now re-opened and with a new landlord it at least does some decent ales now - the Tribute was spot-on.
