A nicely nestled place in the Shaftesbury village. It is a welcome break after taking a stroll through the incline of the village which was made famous in the Hovis commercial long back.A quick bite followed by a walk in the park leading up the erstwhile town walk is quite nice.A cute little stopover while your meandering within Dorset.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND... It is advisable to book ahead when visiting this popular eatery, and believe me it's worth the effort. We were lucky and got a table just before the lunch time rush.My husband ordered the English breakfast with scrambled eggs, and insisted it was the best he'd had in a long time. I chose the roast vegetable panini, which was delicious. The staff were polite, professional and friendly. The service was swift and efficient yet we were not made to feel rushed.

Decent spot for lunch if the weather is good and you can get a table outside. Ciabatta's are nice. Great views of gold hill and surrounds if you choose the right seats.

·

Fantastic location with best views of famous gold Hill and of course best cake and coffee.

Our family were with us for the 2nd visit we've made to this restaurant and it was just as good this time, fantastic choice on menu. Food was delicious, enjoyed by all 5 of us. Service is great. Prices are good. Would recommend anytime, worth stopping by for a meal after walking up Gold Hill. I would visit more often if it wasn't so far from home.

Absolutely love the salt cellar. I am very luck to be a walk away from where I work to come there. The food is absolutely fantastic! Speed of service is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Only little thing I'd suggest is book before you plan to come in. It can get a bit busy as it is a small place!

Car being serviced down the road. Wanted somewhere for breakfast that was dog friendly. Stunning gold hill views and a delicious breakfast. Didn't feel that the staff were too attentive. Ordered fried eggs, for scrambled but they still tasted nice! Would visit again......

·

Lovely cafe at the top of Gold Hill for those that remember the Hovis advert! Lovely breakfast and panini would recommend.

·

Lovely lunch at a reasonable price. Courteous Service. Sat at table by window overlooking Gold Hill. Definitely recommend

A lovely little place and I would definitely recommend. I tried the grilled chicken with chorizo and mozzarella ciabatta and it was delicious.Only downfall was that the food and drinks took a little while to come out to us, but the view is amazing, the staff are great, so I would visit again.
