AKROPOLIS RESTAURANT in North Somerset

Very friendly and very pleasant inside. The food was good, although the menu doesn’t appear to have changed since the 1980s, and it’s a long time since I’ve seen White Zinfandel on a wine list. Our friend’s fish and crab cake turned out to be fish and crab between two slices of Rivita toast, rather bizarrely. However, I’m glad we went and I would definitely go back.

Another fabulous lunch at the Mediterranean it was a friends birthday. Delicious food, great service. Can't wait till your next evening event. Please let us no date, and a group of us will definitely book a table.

Lovely venue, great ambience and brilliant menu and food. I can honestly say I could have eaten everything on the Sunday lunch menu. £25 for 3 courses. Bargain and excellent quality.The staff were lovely and efficient with great service.

Today was my third visit always have the lamb Sunday three course lunch, have always enjoyed it very much, and the portions have been generous. The visit today 13 March the portion of lamb was very small compared to the other visits, as yet again brought another couple, he did say there was not a lot of lamb on plate, he was not impressed, this was embarrassing for me as it was a big thank you for all the work he has done for me.K j Humphris.

Dined here as part of a family celebration. My first visit. Food was excellent. I had the chicken & mushroom risotto, which was delicious & there was plenty of it! For dessert, I had a strawberry cheesecake, which I must say was absolutely devine. Service seemed to yo-yo between over attentiveness & under attention. Lovely bright, airy interior. A very nice lunch.

Such a lovely meal here! The staff were so friendly and helpful. We needed to know all the gluten free options and they talked us through everything and even made sure my partner (who is vegetarian and gluten free) had lots of choices.The food was really delicious!Highly recommend

A bit of a disappointment here today, sadly. We come here fairly frequently, often introducing friends and family, and We’ve always had a very good service, and excellent food.But this time I am afraid Christophe wasn’t himself at all.The starters and main courses were lovely, but we weren’t impressed with the cheeseboard.We brought this to his attention and he simply said that it was mature cheddar, and that’s why it tasted a little odd. At the end of the service, we reiterated that the cheeseboard was disappointing, but nothing was said. He brought us the bill and we paid and left.We weren’t after a refund or a complementary drink, but a little more empathy, and a bit of a conversation about it would have gone a long way.Quite a shame - not what we’re used to from this restaurant.Quality of service and suitable solutions can often outweigh fine food.

We had a splendid meal here to celebrate our son's 40th birthday. Absolutely perfect. Excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely stunning, from the food to the atmosphere and not forgetting the lovely and polite staff.I was taken here for a birthday treat, and I just can't find any faults. They all sung happy birthday to me and brought out a beautiful dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely be going back.
