Really unwelcoming. Clearly didn't want to serve me. Announced they weren't doing breakfast before I had opened mouth then strung me along for a few minutes saying they weren't serving different things on the menu until actually saying they weren't serving food. Then tried to send me as far away as they could on foot to the other side of town to the furthest cafe they could think of.

Perfectly quintessential, a traditional British breakfast Cafe. Providing really great value for money & a hearty, flavoursome full English breakfast that is guaranteed to keep you going all day and more. A classic, quality establishement that truley reflects the world famous breakfast standard of the United kingdom. Pretty hard to stumble upon these days!

A traditional cafe, serving fry-ups and meals. Polite staff and quick service. Food is always well prepared, served quickly and comes out piping hot.

Loved it. Really good for the price.

·

Very friendly welcome. Good swift service. And good food for the price

·

Staff & food was brilliant maybe sort the smell of oil inside i understand it's a cafe but doesn't make it very pleasant 😊

·

Terrible place. Service, food cleanliness all diabolical, the place should be closed permanently. So called Baked Potato was just microwaved never seen any baking white a yukky. So called Cottage Pie, some mince with lots of peas and carrots to bulk it out.Never again!

The staff are really lovely, same goes with the food at a very good price!I love the "wall of fame" too :)

Good quality no frills cafés are hard to find these days. A decent fried breakfast with flavour, bacon that has taken on seasoning from the pan, eggs cooked with runny yolks but the film of white over the yolk is also cooked, mushrooms that actually taste of mushroom, hash brown that has been cooked well through and still moist, beans with a reduced sauce, proper black pudding cooked with care and attention, bread toasted or fried, tinned tomatoes without a pool of liquid.I've known of this Café for over 20 years and have stopped at it most times I've worked in Portishead which is not often enough. My heart was gladened today at the service and the quality of my fry up, the set breakfast altered happily, I prefer no sausages and extra eggs. I wished I had the opportunity to stop here more often, the care taken here in the preparation of my large breakfast today far exceeded the average. If you hanker for the fry ups of old minus the fog of cigarette smoke of days gone by I urge you to try this place, in fact, I'm going back there tomorrow on my day off, I saw a hand written sign advertising 'Jims bread and butter pudding'.
