Charlotte's Tearoom in North Somerset

Very disappointing: visited today with 2 friends. Sandwiches, scone and cakes mediocre. We paid a total of £17.50 each (£52.50 in all). Asked for a top up of our tea pot for 2 of us. Hot water was added but tea was so diluted it was like dish water so we asked the waitress please could she add just 1 tea bag to the pot. She refused! How much would 1 tea bag have cost ? A couple of pence and we had just spent over£50!Worse still, she was surly and unfriendly. Just to top it all the tea room was cold - had to wear our coats!Will never go there again!

I was treated to an afternoon tea at this cute tea room today ( mothers day). WOW, absolutely scrumptious. Scones, sandwiches and slabs of cake, all very yummy. Our daughter couldn't eat all of her cake and asked to take it home, this was put into a little box. Staff were very polite and friendly. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely and friendly little cafe in Winscombe, plenty of sweet treats on offer (they give very generous slices of cake!!) - and they have soy and oat alternative milks for the vegans/lactose intolerant. Nice secluded garden out the back - looking forward to it being warn enough to sit outside!

Great place, amazing quality treats, Carrott cake, tea and coffee. You will be spolit for choice it just a fabulous tea room. The staffs and owner Jaccie are just great people, professional service and excellent quality range of cakes. If you are ever in Winscombe you have to visit Strawberry Line Tea Rooms.

Lovely cafe and nice afternoon tea generally but given 3 stars because of a few improvements needed. I booked and said specifically on the message that one of the party is allergic to eggs. The afternoon tea came out and, we checked, and there were eggs in the cakes. The server said she thought they just didn’t like egg. This is the second time this has happened here so the messages need to be read properly. Had the cake had been eaten, they would have been very poorly. Also it would be nice to be told what the sandwich fillings are on arrival and asked if there was anything we didn’t like or prefer. Again, we were not asked what cakes we would like. I was just given chocolate and vanilla which would not be my choice, especially as there are lots of different cakes available. Lastly we asked for another pot of tea and the same pot was brought back which was large and must have had the original tea bags left in and refilled as it was so weak we couldn’t drink it.

Cycled down the Strawberry Line today and headed to the tea rooms as we’d read good reviews. Such a great place. Breakfast baps and coffee were delicious. Will definitely go back!

Fab little tea room just off the strawberryline. Sat outside in the sun with our dog, enjoying tea & cake. Plenty of choice. Lovely traditional China ware. Well worth a visit..

Lovely find. Well worth the short diversion from the Strawberry Line route. Friendly staff and great cakes, coffee and teas. Seats out the front where you can keep and eye on your bikes but they even offered for us to walk them through to the back garden if we preferred.
