Fox and Goose in North Somerset

Not too shabby. I had a double bed but could feel where 2 single matresses had been used and the join in the middle was obvious. Other than that it ok.

Called for a meal which was extremely well cooked and the service was outstanding very pleasant very polite very helpful staff the whole evening was extremely enjoyable will definitely return And maybe next time stay in the hotel to enjoy the wine is with a meal

We arrived here early Friday afternoon just beating Storm Eunice by an hour or so. We had traveled south because our youngest daughter was due to give birth to her first child. We were slightly early for check in but our room was ready and we were booked in in no time. Our room was large and spacious with a lovely comfortable super king sized bed. We also had a table and chairs by the window where we could sit and relax. The room was equipped with everything you would expect, tea and coffee, flat screen tv and hairdryer. Plenty of storage space for our clothing and a spotless bathroom with complimentary toiletries. We were happily relaxing in our room , watching TV when the power went out. After about an hour we decided to go to the bar to find out what was happening, As we suspected Storm Eunice had struck and it looked likely that power would be off for up to 4 hours. The good news was that we could get a drink and charge it to the room. As nightfall came candles were lit and the residents were told that we could have dinner, a choice of either Burger or Fish and Chips. We happily plumped for Fish and Chips and we were soon rewarded with a generous portion of piping hot food. After eating we took a drink back to the room with us before retiring for an early night.Luckily power was restored earlier than expected next day and we were able to choose from a full menu on the Saturday evening as well as an excellent breakfast Sunday morning before dashing off to see our new granddaughter.The hotel is excellently placed to explore the area as it is just off both M5 and the A38. It has a decent menu of traditional pub food, everything we chose was well cooked and tasty. The staff were all really helpful and friendly even in the face of the most difficult of circumstances. Highly recommended we will certainly stay again

Lovely quiet friendly pub, excellent food and great service. The best ham, egg and chips I've ever had! The mango cheesecake for dessert was amazing. We will definitely be returning.

Fabulous food. My husband and I both had the fish and chips. The batter was light and crispy and the chips were the best we have ever had . . . they were golden and crisp (unlike some places where the chips are soggy) I don't know how they cook them but they were amazing!! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good. A proper English pub, unlike these large chain 'pubs' that all look identical and has no atmosphere, ambience and mundane food. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Lovely staff. Good food and the accommodation excellent especially the extra comfortable bed ! Intended staying one night so good went back the a second night !

Had a great stay here. Great value for money. Stayed over night on route to Cornwall. Rooms are a good size and very clean. The food is exceptional, breakfast and evening meal were outstanding and there's a great choice to.

Price is OK, rooms are basic, clean and shower is powerful and hot. That's all I wanted from my room, so I'm happy! The bar was pleasant to drink in with a nice selection of drinks. The restaurant food was brilliant, 3 clean plates is always a good sign. Staff were very helpful and polite, definitely using this place again as my base.
