Moon & Sixpence in North Somerset

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding locally. Staff friendly and welcoming at all times. Room clean and comfortable and served our purpose. Had dinner on our first night and breakfast twice. Each meal was great, plentiful and hot. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were in the area.

One of the best Sunday Roasts I have ever had. Total value for money and more. Really friendly staff and beautiful views while you eat. Went to a few pubs in Clevedon before we settled here. By far and away the nicest place we walked in to. Thoroughly recommend.

Great pub, friendly staff, lovely decorated inside and lovely buildings on the outside too.Beautiful seafront location and views of the gorgeous Victorian Pier and the Bristol Channel in the distance makes this pub's location spectacular, wow!Spacious dinning areas both downstairs and upstairs with great balcony with tables as well for those warm sunny days and evenings yet to come..Luckily I managed to get some amazing sunset photos whilst we were having an evening meal there.I would have given it five stars if they had some good ol beer mugs/pimples and dimples/handles/...jugs for my pint of Old Speckled Hen ale. Apparently they can't get these anymore, really Green King!What a pitiful excuse but a really good, well kept pint is just not the same in a regular pint glass...Our meals of a small Fish & Chips portion was tasty and adequate portion for my friend and my "Moonburger" was tasty as well.We'll be back again but let's hope they'll make an effort to get those "handles"/ beer mugs in the very near future..

I've read mostly good reviews about this place , unfortunately our 1st time there was not such a good experience ,so won't be going back . location lovely but they booked far too many in for mother's Day and we were a table of 6 ,after an hour since we ordered, 4 dinners came out but not mine and my Mum's. We waited and waited and after another 15minutes we called the waiter who found out our order had for mixed up so eventually our dinners came out by which time the others had almost finished. My beef was very fatty with grizzly fat you couldn't even cut through. I told the waiter we weren't happy and he said to speak to the boss when wed finished ,my mum did eat most of hers but agreed it wasn't the best. The boss was quite rude and didn't believe the beef could possibly be chewy and after a slightly heated debate he eventually agreed to refund mine and my mum's meal but I felt his attitude was out of order ,had he dealt with it more professionally,I might have considered going back. Not the Mother's Day treat I had hoped for !

Unfortunately we had a bad experience on mother's Day as we had to wait over an hour for the meals to arrive and when they did both mother's meals were missing and when they did eventually arrive the rest of the table had nearly finished. and to top it off the beef was gristly.

We called in for a Sunday lunch and weren’t disappointed, the food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The owner seems to value his staff and that was lovely to see. A lovely end to a short break.

haven't been here since we moved away from clevedon, wow what a change. not a good one. From a bar you couldn't move in on a Fri night to a ghost town. food average , service cranky. Won't be coming back.

Warm welcome on a wet and windy winters day on The Beach, Clevedon.Delcious and filling roast dinner , piping hot, tasty, huge Yorkshire pudding and plenty of veg. Good selection of ales too.In case you are wondering ( I was so I asked) The Moon and Sixpence is named after a novel by W. Somerset Maugham published in 1919 and later adapted as a film in 1942.

Was alright. Lots of nice seating. Toilets are in need of refurbishment though and the prices for drinks were all over the place, they seemed to make them up as they went along!

The bar is warm a friendly staff are great. Good selection of drinks. The place is ran by good people, the room was clean and good for the one night we stayed. To get to the room we had to leave the bar go out into the street and go up the lane next to the hotel and up to the main door to the room, it is an old building and is what it is. The breakfast was adequate.
