Greasy and soggy batter no flavour! Seems like they use very old fish! Staff not friendly

A good local Fish and Chip shop. Order by phone or order a shop. Reasonably good service. Was better before pandemic.

Normally good fish chips .it's just about time they opened the shop up instead of staying in all weather outside for what reason ..how long are you making customers wait outside .. won't be back.

I've been 3 times, 1 x lunch 2 x dinner. The chips were perfect every time. Very nice chips. The cod was fresh and juicy, skin on (I prefer skin off). The batter wasn't quite crispy, even though my fish was wrapped separately. The battered sausage was crispy, and really tasty too.Seems like a great chip shop to me.It is a slight shame that they make customers stand outside, it's just not very welcoming.. Although the staff members that served me were friendly and professional. I'm looking forward to "visiting" again.

We live in Portishead about 15 miles away, we came across this fish and chip shop when it used to do Sunday roast dinners. After a while they stopped the Sunday roast and we turned up on a Saturday lunchtime for fish n chips, well this is by far the bestest fish & chips we have ever had.The cod is juicy the battery perfect, the chips are fabulous!!The owner and her staff are so helpful, the shop is spotless and we just would not go anywhere else.Thankyou ladies for such great value for money and even plenty of seating outside of the chipshop.Highly recommended to all!!.

We discovered this fish & chip shop by chance as it was the only one in the area open after 7pm. Friendly service, big portions and quality delicious products. We travel 30 mins to visit as it's that good!

Really excellent chips, and the staff are running a great service during lockdown to avoid having people inside the building. Only one I've seen, well done.As for the pretentious joker in a previous review who can "tell the difference" between cod and other fish - hey, yes you can, but most fish & chip shops have sold something other than cod for years. Unless it's sold as "cod", it's probably not, because people like you have put it in such great demand there are now few stocks. There's no need to give a perfectly good shop one star because your pretentious and unreasonable expectations haven't been met. Ah well, I gave 'em five because their chips are well above my expectations, and didn't taste of cod, which is always a bonus as a vegetarian. x
