Delightful pub accommodation with airy high ceilings and views across the valley towards the lake. Excellent food and a comfortable bed.

We stayed here in a family room for one night whilst visiting local attractions.Good points were the location, size of the room and its bathroom which had the nice touch of Shampoo, conditioner, lotion if you happened to forget yours. The, bar and restaurant were comfortable and stylish, and service was good. The bad points unfortunately are that the walls are paper thin. We were all woken up at half midnight by some other guest who may have over indulged, as we heard them banging and crashing in, followed by one of their party being quite poorly for ten or so minutes by which time I was well and truly awake.I couldn't help but be disappointed when we drove into the area to amazing views and then found our room to have a window at the top of a fire escape down to the rear yard. Needless to say I also felt couldn't leave the window open. The children didn't like the menu here, but we enjoyed the adult meals. The breakfast had mixed reviews with the family, but I loved the sausages 👍

Beautiful room, friendly staff and an excellent full English breakfast, all for a sensible price in a beautiful location. Highly recommended providing a WIFI signal is not a priority

Just popped in for food: An excellent menu, friendly staff and a lovely view.

We found this local pub on the way to our B&B. Pub was clean, staff polite and helpful, limited menu but very tasty. My fish and chips was the best I ever had, beautifully served, my husband had sirloin steak and again was really good. Overall we really enjoyed meal.

Positives: Big room with a nice big window and view of the lake. Walking distance from Combe Lodge. Friendly staff on Friday afternoon and evening.Negatives: Wifi non existent in the rooms as the signal is too weak. Two days in a row had a cold shower and I know that other guests experienced the same.Room not cleaned properly: debris and food not hoovered under chest of drawers. Room not topped up with new teabags/bins not emptied/bed not tidied. The one Vegetarian option for dinner was £14 ‘gnocchi’: 5 lumps of mashed potato in an under seasoned sauce (apparently the offerings for meat eaters are better).Breakfast, despite giving a time to staff the night before, was understaffed on the first morning and took over 45 minutes to arrive: this left the wedding party (especially the groom) with limited time to get ready. The second morning was a total joke: ten guests in the bar and no staff to be found except for the chef who was a bit clueless. We had to find juice, milk, teabags etc ourselves. After half an hour, somebody arrived but lots of excuses were made. The manager didn’t even bother to come and speak to me at check out and the ‘discount’ offered was free breakfast.I would certainly not return.

Nice setting but unfortunately the Sunday roast was very poor, everyone’s arrived fairly cold, all the vegetables were boiled and soggy and the roast potatoes were not roasted. Gravy was odd and lumpy and just not hot enough. Very disappointing.

Shocking. We booked a table for 7pm on a Friday, and arrived to be told they wouldn’t have a table “for a few hours”, and no apology whatsoever. After then driving around the area trying to find somewhere else, without success, we called the Seymour Arms at 7:35 to find out exactly when they might be able to accommodate our booking, and were told we could have a table then! When we arrived for the second time we weren’t welcomed at all, just directed to a huge table for 8, even though we were only two people!!Steak over cooked and “triple cooked chips” barely cooked once! Manager seems more interested in shaking cocktails and showing off than taking care of customers. Avoid.

In the lovely village of Blagdon...lovely pub with fantastic rooms .. we had an upgrade to a beautiful huge room with a bath and shower...full length mirror.. lovely fluffy white towels... toiletries in the bathroom and a nicely stocked tea tray with bottles of water. Comfy bed with nice cool cotton sheets and a fan in the room for the very warm weather... lovely home cooked breakfast which was accompanied by fruit juice and tea and coffee. Cereal and toast also available. Good food available in the bar in the evening...as well as a well stocked bar..even though it did not open until 5pm during the week. Would stay here again and would recommend.

Really nice place. Room was very clean, spacious and very comfy. Staff we're really friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Evening meal was excellent and very tasty. Only slight downside, and I'm sure it was just a one off but the cooked breakfast everything was just slightly undercooked. Overall a great place to stay and would defo stay again.
