Stag and Hounds in North Somerset

Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was delicious and all meals came out together which was nice. Everyone enjoyed their meals and all the meals were hot and presented nicely. We had a lovely meal and will definitely be coming back 😊

We were greeted at the door with a lovely welcome. The place is beautiful and had a warm atmosphere. The staff are friendly and bubbly. Food was lovely and came out so quickly. Great value for money

Pros:The booking service was easy, the staff were accommodating & friendly & overall it was a nice meal.Cons: We were told the only table for 5 available was by the kids play area, when the pub was half empty, the roast chicken was so overcooked that is was too tough to eat. Luckily, the beef wasn't quite so bad, so I just left the chicken. At £20 a meal not really acceptable.

Almost 20 quid for burger and a pint. Few chips, no salad, nothing to speak of. Overdone onion rings, cheap burger bun. Patties were ok but let down by the rest. Free dessert as I was in my own they said. Won't revisit.

Food when it came was ok, not amazing but decent burger and chips, had much better elsewhere. Highly overpriced for what it was. But ok 2 for 1 helps. The drinks were highly overpriced as well. We ordered a small squash for our child which cost £1.65 and a pint of peroni was £5.75. Main issue was that it took an hour to bring our food. Not ideal with hungry toddler and had to order a second drink before any food even arrived. Condiments on the table were also out of date by a month.

Staff were very friendly, attentive without overly bothering us, the venue was clean and smelled fresh ... Nothing worse than smelling yesterday's food! Quick service was appreciated but it wasn't busy. Food was really nice and looked good in the plate

They were all very helpful and polite. The manager was lovely and very accommodating, she had planned our table but moved us so that we could see the tv as we had a 2 year old with us. The food was lovely. It was the second time I have visited and I would definitely come back. Thank you to all the staff.

Perfect, as always!! We are frequent visitors here and love it. Staff are always welcoming and friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble. Food is always great and prices are more than reasonable. Would strongly recommend to everyone. Thanks to all at Stag and Hounds

Had meals here on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day as we were staying in a local cottage for the Christmas period. On both occasions the food was excellent and restaurant clean and well presented. Also on both occasions we were served by James and he ensured our time was pleasant and also funny, an asset to the restaurant. If we visit the area again we will definitely book a table.

Excellent all round! A warm, cosy, traditional (but up to date) family pub with plenty of space inside and out. Dog friendly as well - I presume for well behaved doggies! Easy access and plenty of parking.Really delicious, well cooked, beautifully presented, high quality food, served in generous portions and all piping hot. A perfect venue for a tasty Sunday lunch! Normal well stocked bar seems to cater for all tastes. Their prices are very reasonable indeed, and the "two for one" roast meals are really excellent value.The staff are welcoming, helpful, charming, attentive and delightful - what more could one want? Very highly recommended: we will be back before long! Thank you for your hospitality.
