The Landing Light in North Somerset

Tomatoes on the Vine were delicious, Sweet potato fries were excellent.Just trying to be constructive:Maybe reconsider supplier of steak, might have been a one-off, but both Ribeye and Sirloin were both difficult to enjoy.Would like to see cheese browned on Garlic Bread.Espresso Martini was good but unforgivably was served in a glass with a sharp rim due to it being chipped- which is a very simple fix for management.

My visit to the pub was a pleasant one this evening. I was shown to a neat and clean table, where my drink order was taken and I was told what was not available that evening off the menu. I was served by Emma, who was cheerful and polite. My food came in a good time and was very tasty and filling.

Very popular venue, and pleased we were able to get a table without waiting. Waitress Natasha really polite and helpful with a smile. The menu was full of deliciously described meals. Very pleased with our meals.

Unfortunately the service was slightly lacking, they appeared to be understaffed and I don't think I saw a smile on any of the staff's faces the whole time we were there (table of 6).We ordered 3 mixed grills, unfortunately they only had enough stock for 2, we also ordered a rib eye steak to be cooked rare and it came out medium well which we sent back. The kitchen provided a whole new plate and the steak was cooked rare and was lovely, however by the time it had come out the rest of our party had almost finished their meals.The overall quality of the meals was a little under par, the pork chop in the mixed grill was very tough.The children's meal (cheese burger) and the adult burger ordered were cooked well.

Some menu items not available owing to a “Change of menu” starting next day. The waitress serving us was very pleasant and attentive. The meals were average - not up to the usual standard. This was a birthday meal which, although not bad, was not very good. I would think hard about visiting this restaurant again.

The waiter David was friendly and knowledgeable. Even though there were lots of items missing due to a change of menus, David explained fully. The service from other staff was pleasant. The food was very well cooked and good quality

Absolutely brilliant! I have no words for Steve and his staff here at Landing Light, they are just amazing. They really helped me out over Christmas - my friend is 95 years old and lives alone. She had no one to cook her a Christmas meal (something she really wanted) and I live over 100 miles away so was not possible for me to see her. I approached Landing Light having just done a random search on Google for a pub in Weston super mare and found Landing Light. I called them and spoke to Jess who I immediately warmed to and took my details. Week later I get confirmation from the manager Steve that not only would they give my friend a three course Christmas meal BUT Jess very, very kindly would deliver the meal to my friend on Christmas day. Suffice to say my friend was completely bowled over by the generosity and absolutely loved the food! Thank you so much Landing Light - you really made my friend feel loved and cared for. She absolutely loved Jess and still tells me how delicious the food was whenever I speak to her. Absolutely wonderful people - THANKYOU :)

This is a really friendly and welcoming place to eat and have a drink.There are plenty of tables inside and outside, plus a children's play area and sheltered seating.The decor was very impressive and the prices were reasonable.The staff were very nice and greeted you and said goodbye.The place was very clean and tidy and covid compliant.Will visit again!

Stayed at Travelodge, restaurant right next door so went for dinner rather than trying to find somewhere in Weston. Food really lovely, not a long wait. Very clean, staff nice. Play area outside, lots of seating inside and out.

05/07/2021What a place to eat caught me by surprise.Food was amazing and had a fresh and smoky taste to it. I do not normally eat chips but the ones here were amazing and seemed to be coated in fine cheese.4oz Rump Stake - 10/10Perfect.... Could of been more medium than rare if you want to be pedantic.6oz Gammon Steak - 8/10Nice but a little too salty however it may not of helped I added salt to my entire dish.PORK CHOP - 10/10Amazing. Plenty of meat.LAMB CHOP - 10/10Again amazing. Plenty of meat.PORK Sausage - 10/10Beautiful but could do with two not just the one.Price £15.75 - Reasonable.Friendly staff and Covid Compliant.If I was to add one negative I would recommend to the manager not to allow big dogs in the restaurant especially a German shepherd barking at everyone.Other than that.... Highly recommendI will be returning.
