Absolutely shocking experience. I arrived on Monday 21st Feb for a corporate event and was excited to have been booked in for a meal in the Marco Pierre White restaurant. I had the soup which was ok but chose the steak in the assumption it would be good. It was a very cheap and poorly cooked flank steak, very tough and chewy with at least half inedible. The breakfast was a help yourself buffet which they had a cheek to charge £16. The scrambled eggs were cold, the black pudding inedible and the sausages soggy and poor quality (although the bacon was nice). A few days later, I discovered that I had been charged £120 for my room despite the room having already been paid for by my company. They initially tried to blame a booking company stating they had not paid but that was false. This was on the Friday and although I was promised a call back to resolve the matter, it never came and I was left out of pocket over the weekend forcing me to cancel plans. I was eventually refunded but received no follow up call despite me recalling the hotel and being promised they would call me back. It total I’ve placed around 5 calls which went unreturned and had to go via email through head office just to get someone to call me. A really poor experience which could have been recovered had they been bothered to try and help customers. Avoid at all costs.

The property and amenities are amazing! Give yourself time for the clubhouse and make dinner reservations ahead of time. There’s a reason dinner is busy - it’s delicious! Julie was the hostess and she remembered us for breakfast! I loved that! Matthew checked us in and he was he was very welcoming and helpful. The room had lots of space! It was clean, updated, and we had a great view. Lauryn helped us at check out; she was very efficient and professional. The hotel was incredible and the staff was as well! So glad we stayed here!

I booked through Groupon for my 2 friend's birthdays for a Spa day and lunch. On arrival we were told that the outdoor hot tub was closed which was disappointing. When we went into the main swimming area it was not relaxing at all. In fact we could not even get into the jacuzzi because I counted 6 children in there including a young child with arm bands. Children remained in here for the whole duration of our visit. The steam room was quite cold, so not sure what was wrong there. We went for a swim, but there were so many children screaming, splashing and jumping in off the side it was in no way relaxing. Happy to see children enjoying themselves but when you book a spa day you don't expect it to be so loud you can't even hear each other. The relaxation room and sauna were nice. We had a lunch included in the voucher. Luckily we did not wear our robes because no one else were wearing them so we would have felt a bit odd. The food was nice, but there didn't seem many staff. Christian our server was lovely and seemed to be doing lots of work. Overall it was disappointing and was a lot of money for what we received.

First visit with the Mrs and daughter, staff were friendly and helpful, needed to call reception late at night due to fold out bed was not prepared, and had no bedding. However, staff came to supply clean sheets, and made up the bed for us. Excellent customer services. Spar and pool were perfect. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed it, pool was perfect temperature, and all spar facilities were great. Attended the Wedding Fayre and will definitely be looking at this venue for our special day. Outside area, peaceful, clean and scenic, even lucky enough to see fireworks above the lake, for a wedding the Saturday night. Highly recommended for families, weekend getaways, or on your own. We will be back soon. 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟

Paid £230 for room, but for that price you won't even get a bottle of water in it. You can use spa, but have to pay extra for bath robes and slippers despite spending £150 on couples massage, ensuite in our room has seen better days. Location was a big plus, but I don't like the fact that to arrange our stay had to be transferred between hotel, restaurant and spa! Get your systems sorted!

Marcos steakhouse (Marcodonalds) food was so bad it made us laugh. Needed another duvet for our room and was literally told they might not have one as they’re very busy (but there was scores of empty rooms).Management must not be great as there is a general gloominess amongst the staff (apart from the front desk). The spa facilities are good though and the staff there a lot better. Highly highly recommend walking 5 mins down the road to The Butchers Arms, where you’ll find excellent food and great staff, and a really top pub.

Do not book a spa day here. It is NOT a spa and I'm quite surprised they advertise as offering spa days. I'm sure as a health club it is great. There is a nice large changing room and swimming pool and gym. However, there is no 'spa'. The pool area is constantly full of children scream and running around from hot tub to pool. The outdoor hot tub is not hot. Luke warn at best. The relaxation room is smelly and disgusting. I had an awful massage. The afternoon tea was not even afternoon tea. Disgusting food with not a scone or sandwich in sight. I dont know how it was allowed out the kitchen. Extremely disappointing and would never recommend.

(10-1-21 - they finally refunded, so will give them another star, or maybe two, I don't know - happy to listen to anyone's thoughts). Extremely poor, bordering on disgraceful service. Do Not Visit. Was looking forward to stay. My colleague could not make it, so I called to postpone/cancel. I then got very bad covid, only recovering the day before the booking. I called 4x to rearrange it,, getting cut off once, being put through to the USA, then the wrong Bristol hotel, then being put on hold so long that I was cut off, asked them to cll back, they failed to, emailed 4x, eventually cancelled the restaurant as well, in frustration. Still arguing with the Hotel!

It was a pleasure staying at your hotel. Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South - Cadbury House is a nice hotel with excellent food and service. They offer welcome chocolates cookies in the front desk. Buffet Breakfast and Set Dinner are good. Also the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere with music. Overall the experience was brilliant and enjoyed or weekend getaway a lot. I will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel, great location. The pool and gym are in the next building but freely accessible. The grounds are nice to walk around. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are excellent. The food is very expensive to the point where I did not bother to use them, instead we went to some of the local restaurants. I have stayed in Hilton Hotels in London where the restaurants and room service were not as costly as they were here. This is the reason why this is not a 5 star review.
