The Moor End Spout in North Somerset

A local to family we were visiting. Another recommendation and not disappointed as the food and service were good. They also provided selections of GF food for my wife to be able to eat. Oh and they do great Irish Coffees

A quiet Saturday lunchtime meal. A decent menu with plenty of choice and a few specials on the board as well. The meal was tasty and nicely presented. Service was attentive, but we didn't feel rushed. Would definitely go again.

Popped in for lunch with my friend. Lots of choice on the menu. Had the hunters chicken, can’t go wrong. My friend had a pie, said it was amazing… probably just trying to give me food envy. Haha.Managed to find room for a dessert. Cheesecake was chocolate baileys…so it was a win. My friend had the Toffee apple crumble and like it.Little gem in Nailsea. We’re going back next week too.

Nice pub with good beer, but had the worst Sunday lunch ever! We ate at 5pm, the food had probably been kept under a hot plate since noon, so the chicken, yorkshire puds and roast potatoes were so hard it was difficult to cut them. If you want Sunday lunch there, eat earlier!

Good little local pub. Nice beer garden and huts and good prices even in these times. Always a pleasure to stop for one.

Food was good but not very hot,particularly the delicious Treacle sponge pudding.They reheated it when we pointed it out to them,without any quibble.The slice of Chicken,leek n bacon pie was good and the homemade faggots were exceptional.The restaurant was rather chilly but maybe that was due to extra ventilation(covid rules!).

Our family of 6 visited yesterday. We ordered 5 different meals, every one was delicious& there were 6 clean plates at the end. The pub is very cosy with welcoming staff & a very varied menu. Prices are very reasonable indeed & we all thoroughly recommend a visit. Thank you.

I came here a few months ago and had a very mediocre meal but it wasn't long after they'd restarted indoor meals and figured it was just teething problems. I was wrong.Today I came for a Sunday lunch with family. I had the soup which was so thick peaks were still visible in it when it arrived at the table and I could hold my spoon upside down not have it drop. It was tasty but was not a soup.I chose roast chicken for main. The chicken was frankly vile. I didn't think it was possible to mess up roast chicken but somehow they managed it. It tasted like the chicken you used to get in those microwaveable TV dinners in the 80s and 90s. And to cap it all it was so dry the edges were curling in places.The cauliflower cheese was so anemic I mistook it for mashed potato. Hiding in it was raw onion, which apparently the chef had added "for crunch". Crunch is not a texture I look for in cauliflower cheese and certainly not in the form of raw onion, to which I have an intolerance.There were five in my party. We were given one big set of veg between four of us and a single serving. This made it very difficult to distribute - why we couldn't be given 2 sets of 2 I don't know - and the portions were tiny.I ended up having my plate taken away and offered an alternative main which I declined as I doubted the quality would be any better. When it came to paying the meal hadn't been removed from the bill and if it wasn't for my checking would have been paid for.All round a disappointing meal and one that means I will sadly be avoiding the Moorend Spout from now on.

Lovely atmosphere, gorgeous garden and really friendly staff. food priced really reasonable and is absolutely delicious. Good choice for veggie and vegan as well as the classic meat choices. Wide selection of beer on tap and lotsof events and evenings held here :)

Had a great meal at the Moorend Spout, covid rules were adhered to by the staff who also reminded a couple of young men that they had to wear masks to enter and leave the pub and going to the loo. As previously stated, the food was very good and reasonable priced and the service was excellent. Earlier we had a drink in the garden, see photos.
