The New Ancaster in North Somerset

Proudly bearing the title of Westons roughest pub for 40 years, the New Ancaster is actually alright, the locals are boisterous and jovial, the beer flows and on Fridays there is karaoke. This is a place where you can let your hair down and not be judged.

Back open now after the pandemic lock down with new people running the pub. Great local corner pub, pool table, sells hot sausage rolls, pies & pasties. Has some bottled ales for me, double up on spirits for a quid. Great pub for me & the dogs

Great host who has a good laugh, keeps customer's entertained. Quality food served and excellent draught beer would highly recommend to anyone. Friendly atmosphere, all the locals get on with anyone who comes in. Definitely 5 star

I have been going to this pub for about 2 years now and the service is EXCELLENT. I managed to create a friendship bond with the owners as they are so friendly and also get along with the other customers. Everyone that goes there get greeted with such kindness. Every Summer, the pub gathers up friends and family and puts on a BBQ for everyones entertainment. They allow pets into their bar and children are welcome too. I'm never disappointed when I am there. Drinks are cheap and pub snacks can also be bought there like crisps, nuts and pork scratchings. Great atmosphere and service.
