Great find. Well done to Spike, Vikki and team for great service and delicious food. Views are spectacular and it's very dog friendly.

Lovely location and good food, competitively priced. Spectacular views from the beer garden and cosy inside. Plenty of parking spaces in their carpark on the Saturday we went. Will definitely visit again

We had an excellent lunchtime meal today. I had a super steak pie with plenty of steak, quality veg, cooked spot on. Tasty gravy also. My wife had the beefburger, again super quality, topped with bacon and egg. I drank Wadsworth 6x and my wife had Wadsworth burnt orange. This was the best conditioned 6x I've had for many years. The landlord serves ales on great condition. I would score this 4.5/5 if i could.

It is an old traditional family pub. We were there for dinner. We all liked our chosen dishes. They were all delicious. Unlike alot of pubs it was very clean and the atmosphere was cosy. Spike and his staff were very welcoming and friendly.

If it was possible give this place no stars we would - This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, ending in my mother being repetitively yelled at on her birthday surprise by the owner.We’d been driving for 3 hours to celebrate my mum’s birthday somewhere special and after eating and drinking, were waiting for a desert menu but no service or offer of it came. My mum finally got the waitress’ attention who told us we were too late for desert, so I gave my mum a little cupcake I’d picked up for her en route (cakes are her absolute joy). She took a bite and an old man came over and starting yelling and threatening us for doing this in his pub repeatedly, leaving us in shock and upset.I’m still amazed that someone would speak to an older woman like that and I advise avoiding this place and it’s abusive owner completely.

We were staying just a 4-minute walk away at School farm B&B and the New Inn very quickly became our 'local.'The new management Vikki and Spike are terrific hosts and they deserve every success.We ate here 3 out of 4 evenings and the food menu was varied with plenty of choice for vegetarians and the portions were plentiful.Sit outside and you'll be rewarded with breath-taking views over Blagdon lake.If you're looking for a cosy, friendly village pub, then this is it.We're already looking forward to visiting again next year.

Me and my other half had a lovely meal whilst looking at one of the best panoramic views I've ever seen from a beer garden. Excellent service and great value for money. Now my favourite go to Pub when on my Motorbike in that area of Somerset. 😁👍
