Presumably for historic reasons, this rather nice place is approached by driving down a housing estate access road. It's worth perservering. For lunch, we both had the same excellent beef bourgignon pie. A full plate of well cooked food which neither could finish so desserts were passed up. We'll be back!

Had the carvery, vegetarian and meat. Overcooked nut roast, pork was tasteless and stringy. Cauliflower cheese-well no cheese had ever been added. Vegetables were watery and overcooked.Definitely a place for people to eat with no taste buds, might account for all the smokers outside.

Went here yesterday with the family and we weren't disappointed. Really lovely and attentive staff. Carvery was amazing and all the family were very happy with their meals. Great portion size too. Can't wait to go back. A big thank you to everyone at the Old Farmhouse.

Booked the table over two weeks in advance on arrival got stuck on the worst table in the restaurant. Had to ask to order our food and it was quite frankly disgusting. Myself ordered a meat free carvery with no nut roast and was charged £11.50 for a plate of veg. Had to wait over 45 minutes to able to go upto the carvery. Very unimpressed and won’t be visiting again! Don’t recommend.

Really enjoyed the carvery today. Very polite helpful staff. Well organised. We ate outside as we had dogs but they would have been allowed in.Great food too with vegetarian and vegan options which my daughters enjoyed.

Thank you to the staff at the farmhouse for a lovely Mother’s Day lunch this weekend. Also a big thank you to the staff for being so accommodating to the family behind us, who were unable to cope with our toddlers two minute mega meltdown and moved them immediately when they complained.Once there were less strangers around her she immediately calmed down and we went onto have a glorious meal, can’t thank you enough for moving them 😂. It’s a shame that people can’t be a little more patient with our lockdown babies considering it’s a family restaurant but the staff handled it very well, the definition of a good family restaurant. Also like to thank them for being so accommodating & knowledgable with our daughters soya and dairy allergies.

We booked a table as we were going to nerby NT Tyntsfield to the Ignite event. The menu is simple but varied and there's a specials board. Some of our party have special dietary needs and there are gluten free and vegan options. The young staff were attentive and very helpful. We enjoyed our meal and hope to be back to enjoy the beer garden.

Lovely place, very cosy and welcoming. Really enjoyed our meal on Saturday. I don't usually order pies but my sister told me the food is delicious so I thought I would give it a go. I ordered the Beef Pie and it was full of flavour with large chunky beef chunks and delicious thick gravy. It comes in the form of a slice but it's a very generous portion with a choice of roast potatoes, Mash or fries and vegetables on the side. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and the staff were friendly and helpful. We sat next to a warm fireplace which was great on a cold winter's day.
