Classic countryside pub, very welcoming and great food. Have been a couple times after long walks in the surrounding areas and we are always looking forward to sitting down here and having a pint. Love that it is no frills, classic, wholesome pub food. The ham, egg and chips, ploughman's and beef roast are all top notch. Will continue to return here after our doggy walks!

The world's friendliest family run this pub and could not have been more helpful. We stopped for lunch and found the menu to be broad and reasonably priced. They managed to adapt their menu for a vegan too! Do try the local ciders!

Planned a UK tour starting on 4th Sept 2021 and this accomodation was the first on our itinerary having visited the Wooky hole and driven through the Cheddar Gorge. Nice quiet little village and because this was our first visit we were advised to avoid coming in from the West as there was a ford to traverse. Glad I called ahead as our host was spot on (Thank you Kate), our car would not have made it through. Food was excellent and staff accommodating. Room was perfect for our needs. If I had to have a gripe it would be the steep staircase to the upper floor, but this in no way impacted on our enjoyment of the location, the comfort and polite way the staff went about their business. Breakfast was laid on for the following morning, all freshly cooked to order with the usual cereals available if you desired. If I were to recommend anywhere to stay while in this part of the country then I would have no hesitation in recommending The Plume of Feathers to anyone.

Great pub in beautiful surroundings and food all locally sourced and tastes great.

Lovely food and really engaging hosts. Point off the room because the bathroom has quite a strong musty smell; perhaps not surprising the age of the building. A word of caution - parking is really difficult...get there early!

Lovely old fashioned pub, really cheap food and good beer, smashed expectations well done.
