Didn't have the drinks we wanted. Food was very mediocre. I had Fish and Chips, chips were ok but fish was very greasy, puddle of grease on the plate when I had finished. Hubby had a burger, said that it tasted like a cheap supermarket burger. Will stick with Wetherspoons in future nicer food for half the price.

Great choice of drinks, been a few years since I've been in here and it's really been turned around for the best!

Left standing to order whilst locals were served first, when finally asked what I would like, no bitter available either pump or bottles.

Nice little pub, no Pepsi Max on tap but had Coke Zero in a can so no probs. The beer was great. Seating is comfy, pub nice and warm on a cold day.

What an absolute gem! My friend and I popped in on Sunday evening at around 20:30. We were greeted by a couple of very friendly locals and equally pleasant staff and the landlord. Surprisingly, they were generous enough to place dishes of leftover roast potatoes - from the Sunday menu - around the bar and tables in nice big white roasting dishes, along with side plates and cutlery, for patrons to help themselves gratis! They went down very nicely with the couple of pints of perfectly stored/poured Guinness I had. My friend ate enough of them to sink a hefty seagoing vessel too!We very much enjoyed the comfy Chesterfield-style sofas next to a log burner (wasn't lit due to it being very quiet and already generously heated). Had I not already had a skinfull, I'd have happily sat for hours sinking many pints of perfect Guinness!Beautifully decorated with a comfortable and tasteful ambience. I've become very fond of this place already (can you tell?!) and highly recommend it. We'll be trying the menu next time, which I'll review in due course.Thank you for a lovely couple of hours!

Great place to go to for meeting up with friends for a drink. Great selection of beers on tap. Food is excellent and tasty. If you like pub quizzes go there on a Wednesday night.
