A very good meal and staff friendly and efficient, although prices are towards the top end of what you might expect to pay in a pub. My only small critism is the place feels more like a slick restaurant than a country pub. The costly refurbishments have perhaps been at the expense of the pubs original soul and character.

Lovely venue, decorated beautifully. Plenty of car parking space and outdoor seating area which is a great sun trap!If you're a halloumi fan, order the halloumi skewer - it's enormous, and beautifully cooked, with a choice of sides.

Went for Sunday lunch as a group of six, booked online, we had to wait 45 minutes for our table to be ready, then over half hour for food once ordered, groups of two who sat down after us, got their food before us, had to chase food. The food was nice, some of it was a bit cold, would have been nice if they offered us a free drink for long wait, but they can’t do that! Also had to chase up drinks when ordered, There seemed to be a lot of young staff stood around chatting, think I would only try and go again during quite times.

Beautiful food. excellent attentive staff. Great night out. Only issue is the sticky platter to share should have 4 portions of everything. Not 3. Other than that 1st class. Definitely recommend and will definitely go there again.

We stop here when driving on the m5. It's far nicer than the motorway services. There's a car park adjacent to the pub, which is positioned in an attractive village. Tables and chairs are available at the front of the property, for warmer days. Dogs are permitted both inside and out - treats are available. The staff are welcoming and friendly, providing a good service. We didn't pre-book and fortunately a table was available in the bar area. However, this is a very popular venue so it might be prudent to book beforehand. The space is bright and beautifully designed, with a range of different sized tables and sofas. We had soup, hash brown and soft drinks - around £30. The food was served in good time, was hot and absolutely delicious. This is a superb place to visit.

Haven't been here for a long time and what a difference on decor, it looked like a top designer has come in and revamped the whole place, lovely. I will have to try the food next time but I very much enjoyed the cider on tap!

Lovely decor inside, really popular as it was. very busy. Food only only ok which was a pity, The sticky chicken & fries were cooked fine, but needed something else like a veg to make it a decent meal. The apple & blackberry crumble was tasty, but the crumble was unfortunately soggy. Others in the party thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

Come here for my local. Maybe a little too much. Great service, the best, friendly staff. Amazing food (the burgers are lovely)! Great atmosphere inside and out for food or a casual drink!

Disappointed. Had Christmas lunch here for ten of us. There was only two Christmas turkey meal left. So eight of us couldn't have, and had to choose something else. If you want vegetables you have to order as a side dish, they don't come as part of the meal. I requested cream on my Christmas pudding...and got Milk. All for £35, did include 2 x drinks..but it was bland and disappointing.

Spent a very nice couple of hours here recently on a Sunday, opted for the beef roast, and requested the beef be as rare as possible, thinking it would just be 'a standard beef dinner' but no, I was presented with a pair thick, moist, tender and nicely medium/rare slices of beef. The accompanying veg was hot and plentiful, as was the gravy. The place has only recently had a refurbishment so all was spick and span. Plus the fact we had a very attentive young lady looking after us all added up to me wanting to return in the not too distant future.
