A dog🐩🐩 friendly place with most delicious home cooked food and friendliest service. They fed us pheasant🐓 and home made pigs in blankets🐷 on a very rainy Boxing day when we were tired and wet ;)Their produce is localy sourced-like a freshly shot pheasant, line caught trout from Blagdon lake, dairy from a farm down the road, etc..I would say its a best option if you are looking for a bite 🍗 and a pint🍺 in Blagdon.Highly recommend

A fabulously friendly pub. I am no expert being a fish and chip kind of guy but the freshly caught and lightly smoked trout from the lake behind was Michelin standard. Bit tight on entrance for our 7.3 m motorhome and slightly sloping towards the lake but nothing to deter the intrepid traveller

A lovely Landlord warmly welcomed us.Great puddings - Jen's Lemon Crunch, very strong consistency with creamy lemon.Great view from car park of Blagdon Lake.If you wish to see the Lake, turn left out of the car park and then left again, down the hill.

This review is based on a single visit. We ordered two of the hamburgers. After a semi-long wait, the burgers arrived. The top bun was cold. Not even room temperature, but cold. The burger patties seemed as if they'd been cooked prior to our visit and simply reheated. They were very dense and far too chewy. The price range was the same as say, Seymour Arms or The New Inn. But inferior quality-wise. The staff however were nice and friendly. For anyone wondering, save yourself time, money and frustration by picking either the Seymour Arms or The New Inn.

Welcoming landlord, dog friendly and nice location even if access is awkward off of a narrow road and on a corner. It was around 4pm the lunch time rush had gone and the kitchen closed but was willingly served a very welcome and good value helping of fresh chips after a hike across the beautiful mendip hills. Worth a visit. 4 stars as its not food all day however that might be churlish but it does limit your options especially if want to time your meal later to avoid the lunch rush.

Excellent food, friendly staff, and the owner always goes to great effort to make something dairy and gluten free for us. Lovely views of the hills and Blagdon lake from the beer garden. Recommended.

This is what a good village pub is all about. Dropped in for a couple of.pints and something to eat and had a wonderful couple of hours. The food, calves liver, bacon and onions was simply superb - not gastro-pub style but wonderful ingredients, beautifully cooked and tasting absolutely fantastic. The whole pub is beautifully presented in a very traditional way and above all is immaculately clean, right down to the beautifully polished cutlery . The relatively new landlord and staff are really friendly and deserve to do really well here. Their attention to detail and hospitality is absolutely first class. If I lived in Blagdon this would be my local. Superb!

After a long drive in Bank Holiday traffic, it was lovely to be greeted by dave at the Queen Adel aide. The food was hot, tasty and very generous portions were presented by the friendly waitress. The beer was good and the atmosphere welcoming and friendly. Very good value.

Nice pub, landlord was friendly. Went there on the way back from a rugby game and got a mixed reaction, the landlady seemed to be unhappy with us being there. The decor is good, adequate parking and a semi-decent beer garden. One for a nice family meal but not a heavy drinking rugby team(Walcott RFC)

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Queen Adelaide today. The service was very good, we were made to feel very welcome, by the owners and staff. The food was really enjoyed by all 5 of us. I phoned a few days ahead of our booking to discuss my dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble. Which meant I could enjoy my meal and socialise without worry about what I was going to eat. I would highly recommend you them a try.
