The Woodborough Inn in North Somerset

I visited this pub last Sunday with my husband. We were pleased with our meals from the Sunday specials. Also, I think it's useful to mention the atmosphere was very nice, and it can be a good place to meet both with family or with friends for drinks. We'll be going again :)

Lovely pub, just stopped for a quick drink after a hard walk in the area. Great outdoor seating area. The menu looked good, loads of free parking around the back.

We checked in here it was quick and easy, staff were really nice and helpful. The room was a great size with a nice big bathroom, our only couple of downsides were there is no USB ports and I think in this day and age it would have and that the kettle was horrible inside. On the plus though there is a fridge in the room and biscuits and tea and coffee making facilities. Food from the restaurant was amazing and not a bad price we had starters each, a main each and a couple of ciders and it was about £55.00. There is a pub below so don't expect it to quiet while the pub is still open. All in all wss a great stay and would stay and eat again. If you are doing the Thatchers tour this is really close about a 50 minute walk 4 minute drive or there is a bus across the road just make sure you check the times, getting a taxi seemed impossible on a Saturday for some reason.

Food was nice enough, but nothing spectacular. Service was very poor. Waited 30 minutes for drinks order, then had to ask again for them to bring them. Didn't dare order a second! Asked for bill, didn't bring it, and ended up having to wait at bar.

Nice friendly staff and a good feel about the place. Everyone seemed friendly and relaxed and i have been to this pub on several occasions, the food is very good too...

Excellent buffet food, also catering for vegan and gluten-free. Absolutely delicious. I look forward to returning there.

Staff were great. Only stayed for a drink this time but the food looked lovely so will revisit and their Sunday lunch next time.

Very nice lunch today. But slow service London prices for a pub in small village. Not very good value for money. would not recommend. No wonder the diner was empty, Good staff pleasant and helpful.

I enjoyed a most delicious lunch here with my cousin. It was quiet enough to have a good chat and the food was excellent. I had turkey (really succulent ) with all the trimmings and plenty of veg, followed by poached pear and a Marshfield vegan ice cream. Yummy, very good service, friendly staff and very reasonable prices.
