China House in Plymouth

My partner took me here for my birthday. Only I would go to a steakhouse and have a burger. I had the dirty burger and my partner had the black Angus filet mignon. Food was incredible. Service was amazing, and the espresso martini can really do a number on you! I ate so much that I didn't want desert. My partner ordered a desert for herself, and they brought me a little brownie anyway as 'you have to have something on your birthday'. I highly recommend this place and will be coming here more often!

It was my birthday when we went and I have to say the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menus. Saved me from having mash twice! The food was absolutely amazing, superbly cooked. The barbecue spare ribs, the Aberdeen Angus steaks and rack of lamb were amazing. Yes, a little pricey but for that quality, it was definitely worth it. Thank you we will come back again sometime

Arrived a little early but was taken straight to table with no issues. Waiter was fantastic in both knowledge of meet etc and service. Not the cheapest but have to say probably the best steak I have had. Please try the beef dripping sauce, it compliments the steak rather than overpower it.

Went out for dinner with a friend and had starter, main and dessert. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to help and were quick to ask if we needed more drinks when ours were getting empty. Molly was amazing (thank you Molly!). Food was delicious and the seating was comfy too - would recommend a visit.

An excellent meal, served by attentive, friendly & knowledgeable staff in beautiful surroundings - what more could anyone want. And the best steak we've ever had! 😋 Can't wait to go back & take all our friends 😉

Quite enjoyed my pork belly with scallops and calamari for a starter, darlings had a stake witch was cooked perfectly, staff was very friendly and looked after us, asked if we wanted more drinks and kindly explained all the menu options. Thumbs up 👍

One of my favourite restaurants in Plymouth and an absolute treat for an occasional meal. The steaks are always perfect, the staff are fantastic and the value for money isn't bad either. Could not recommend Miller & Carter more for anyone looking to treat themselves.

Had a lovely lunch today at Miller and Carter, eyes bigger than my belly and the starter and main were more than enough tho the sticky toffee pudding was good I didn't need it.Staff were friendly and attentive and it wasn't too busy.

Lovely setting. Attentive staff. Beautiful building. Delicious steak. BUT does have a sting in the tail on price. It's the best of the best however so I don't mind paying for quality

5 star all the way for this place. Birthday meal or special occasions are perfect for a visit. Cocktails are delicious, starters were also tasty, and the main attraction being the steak, had so many options to choose from. All came out quick, nothing too much trouble for the server that we had, she was an absolute asset to our dining experience ! :)
