Crown and Anchor in Plymouth

Once again the Crown and Anchor and the ‘Cranchor Crew’ showed why they are the best bar/restaurant on the Barbican !!! Had a Mothers Day meal and the food was quite simply incredible and the portions were so big that we couldn’t finish them.......and I’m a big lad that loves his food 😉👍. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly HIGHLY recommended if you are ever on the Barbican and looking for excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere. You will not be disappointed with The Crown and Anchor’s food and staff 👌

Absolutely amazing ! Lovely food, lovely service and great atmosphere. Child friendly too which is a massive bonus. First time going and will definitely be coming back.

Came down for the Sunday Roast MenuWent for the 2 course option. Portion sizes were incredible and the flavour was amazing.Chicken Liver Parfait, highly recommend and ANY of their roast dinners. Great tender meat, homemade Yorkshire puddings and each vegetable is seasoned and cooked to perfection.Partnered with this you get FANTASTIC service. Kind, fun and attentive and very personable and professional.We were served by Oli Who made our first visit awesome so we will be back again!2 courses were a little too much for my appetite and there was no question of the quality of food. The chefs care.Live sport on and good music at a nice volume, lovely atmosphere... Even had a magician going table to table... Knocked it out of the park for our first time!Guinness - perfect, great glass threading and clearJail Ale - Cellar cooled and crisp full bodied flavourReccomend!

Lively sports bar overlooking Sutton harbour. Well kept cask ales and rather busy as it was Saturday evening. It did get very busy so we did leave after two drinks but that's nothing against the pub, just couldn't hear ourselves think.

We just went in on the off chance , never been there before .The food and service was AMAZING 👏 A few different options from the usual pub food.I had the chicken tagliatelle, which was incredible. Wonderful amount ,could hardly finish ,but I did Cooked in a beautiful sauce .FANTASTIC. My partner had the chilli which was also superb Although I had to take their word for it as they wouldn't share 🙂 A great deal of pubs and restaurants to choose from BUT..... THE CROWN AND ANCHOR WAS SENSATIONAL. Can thoroughly recommend it 👌

Amazing Roast dinner! Possibly the best! (Don’t tell me ma or bird) Great atmosphere, very friendly! I dined alone and staff made me feel very welcome! Very good value for money!!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Booked via FB messenger. Fast response from manager. A great atmosphere in pub. Staff helpful in very busy bar. Only had burgers but they were Fantastic top tasting food. We had a great evening and even though the team where extremely busy, the whole group made it an enjoyable evening for us and everyone else there. Very attentive. Thank you.

Stopped for lunch as it was a lovely day. We each had a salad, I tried the local crab salad which was really fresh and worth the small price I paid. Very authentic pub on the marina and friendly staff. Would recommend trying it.
