Great selection on the menu. Not disappointed in what we ordered and the quantity was far more than generous.

Excellent quality fish and unbeatable chips. Large chips can feed 3-4 easy. Efficient staff and care a great deal that you are happy with your meal and it's made to their high standards. Curry Sauce is nice, reasonably priced and quite strong but not overpowering. Comes highly recommended.

Fresh cooked large Cod and chips for £8:00 Can't go wrong for the price and the quality was top notch. Bit of a way to travel for a takeaway for me but worth it. Very clean premises with plenty of staff to deal with the abundance of customers.

Extremely disappointed, the chips were barely edible so crunchy and tasteless. The chips actually hurt the inside of my mouth. The spicy spuds were still hard in the middle. The curry sauce lids were not put on properly so they leaked. The only good bits were the portion sizes, however a little too big for us, and the fish was actually nice. That being said I will not be back.

We brought Fish/chips after pre-ordering, collection was v,good. They were very tasty and non greasy .and we were more than satisfied. Well done to Francines! Highly recommended.

Been here a few times since living locally and they are perhaps some of the best value for money chippies in the city. Absolutely huge portion of chips, and of a decent quality too. Waiting times are about average and the place is always nice a clean. Tonnes of staff taking orders and everything looks to be run smoothly.

The chips were fairly good, decently priced and a very generous portion. The fishcake was nice but more potato than fishy. However it was let down by the price of the drinks. £2.70 for a litre bottle of Coke that's £1 in many other places including the Co-op a short walk away is cynical and mean- spirited. It's also a very random amount. £2 would be a significant markup and much less galling. Also I am gluten intolerant and I have been very ill from fish and chips before. It's a shame they only offer gluten free on Monday evenings. And that everything except chips is extremely expensive. The meals especially. It wasn't busy but I waited a fair while for my small order. For this reason I think its reputation is undeserved; there are better places within walking distance. But it's ok, at a pinch.
