Kingfisher Fish & Chips in Plymouth

50 minute wait for an order….. disgrace and the bloody order when we get it home is wrong….

My wife and I popped in after collecting my son from after school club thinking we would quickly pick him up a kids sausage and chips as a quick dinner after a long day. On ordering we were given a buzzer. We quickly popped to coop and then spent the best part of 30minutes standing outside in the cold with our 4 year old hungry child watching people come and go whilst still no vibration on our buzzer. My wife went in to enquire and they found that the order was never given over and was next to the lady at the till so our buzzer would never go off and our child would go hungry. There was no apology, they just looked at each other and said never mind we will do it now. It was not like we had a big order, it was one plain sausage and chips. Joke

Pretty sure this place gave me food poisoning, there is nothing else I can think of that I have ate that could have made me illIn response to your reply... I do not believe I had a stomach bug else everyone in my household would have got it, the only thing I ate differently to anyone else was your fish and chips. I am not a regular customer of yours, I popped in as a one off and won't be using you again due to my experience. I know of 2 other people who have become ill from eating food from your shop (last year) which they not longer use you for that reason also.Lastly no I am not a competitor

Very, very disappointed! The chips were dry and hard and tasted like they had been cooked in old, dirty oil. The curry sauce was so watery and tasteless. Battered sausages were ok but not much better. Total waste of money.

Service was mediocre, had to be asked 3 times what the order was and they didn't write it down. Was told only coffee and then surprise surprise it was a machine with several varieties. Only got half a cup of froth before hitting the coffee. Food was perfectly OK, but no offer of salt and vinegar or sauces. Was told they had no sugar, but did offer stirrers???

Really nice fish, flaky sweet meaty cod. Lovely little pea fritter and classic soft chips. Very pleasing and a good decent fish and chips but not the best/greatest I've had and felt it was not quite fully hitting the spot. It is probably just my personal preference and overall a decent meal so no complaints.

So after all the hype I drove 3 hrs to come try the fish and chips as you can see from the photos the fish was covered in oil also the fish still had the skin on it on one sideWas not impressed but the seals never complained so unless you are a seagal then good luckWasted journey 6 hrs drive all in

Had a regular portion of chips today 29/05/2019, and they only just covered the bottom of the box,cost me £2.20!! At least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he robbed people,it will be a once only experience.
