Very basic chip shop but food is great couple who own / run the shop are very nice very clean very polite

Called to complain about what I had been served.., half of my orders scraggs from the bottom of the frier …. Response when I called to complain… nothing we can do about it.. we don’t use frozen chips!!! Yes you can love…just don’t bulk out your orders with with your scraggy rubbish!

Local fish and chip bar only accepts online orders so had to use this one. Was apprehensive because of the reviews others had left but was pleasantly surprised.Price was very reasonable at just over £6 for a large cod and large chips and the quality of the fish was great.Wait time was minimal and the portion size was bigger than expected.Only thing that lets it down is they don't accept card, although there is a card machine 10-15 feet from the shop.Definitely will be coming back again.

If you like sushi (cold raw fish) then this is the place to go. I ordered a large cod which was cooked for less than 3 minutes. The middle of the fish was cold and raw. Disgusting and waste of money.

This is a nice local chippy. I struggle to rate it higher than a 3 star due to prices and portion size. It's certainly not the cheapest chippy around but the food is good. Chip portions are small and thier large cod is a tiddler at best, I've seen more fish in a fish finger

Best chips ive gotten from any takeaway, they make them fresh every day, not from a bag or frozen, curry sauce is amazing!I have tried over a dozen chippys in and around the area and nothing compares to the quality.

My 1st & last visit to southway fish & chips, frozen fish put in microwaved bowl of water before dipping it in batter & fried. I had haddock chips n curry sauce but it 60% batter 40% fish. My fish was just luke warm & not hot at all chips was wrapped before fish was cooked & kept in warmer.staff was fine. But deffinately would NOT go back there very poor.

Only just moved to the Southway area of Plymouth, this is now my go to takeaway, the staff are amazing, very polite and very fast. They sell some of the nicest chips I have tasted in Plymouth.
