The main dish was outstanding. I I had the seabass and chips and it couldn't have been any better. However, I ordered the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was just too dry. There was too much cake and not enough ice cream to complement it.The service was great so all in all a good experience

Great food and service. Courteous, helpful and polite staff. Ideal for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. Plenty of gentile comfortable seating areas that enhance the age of the building and table settings provide quality atmosphere. Recommended for both intimate and family & friends in groups.

What a hidden gem! We visited for the 1st time with family for a lunchtime. From arrival to being seated, the whole experience was 5*. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, without being overbearing. The food, the 4 of us made different choices, none of us were disappointed. The main courses and desserts were again 5*. The flavour was excellent. An excellent variety of choices that would satisfy any palate. We will be back soon. Well done to everyone.

Last minute booking for lunch, only one table left. I explained over the phone that it was our wedding anniversary and would it be possible for a window table, was told they were very busy but would do what they could. Arrived to find a window table with view over garden, very good. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Great choice on fixed price menu and great price too. Only minor issue was wine list was a little pricey. Very impressed with food, staff, price and setting even had a surprise anniversary biscuits and chocolate plate. Very highly recommended, will be back soon.

Have to say not up to standard today. I had the seafood tagateiile and some of the seafood was inedible, tough and chewy. My nephew had the roast which came with a bit of tin foil on his carrot. I do expect better from them. Shame

Our second visit, this time for afternoon tea. Thoroughly enjoyable, great value for money and even a doggy bag to finish off at home. Definitely going back, already booked.

Went to a wedding here, it was a beautiful setting for a lovely day. The food and service was outstanding, the staff were very attentive and seemed happy in their job, which makes me think it would be a nice place to work.I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to hold your wedding and reception combined.
