The Chippy in Plymouth

Normally I would have given them 5 stars but today I placed a big order and the fish I had, although was tasty....had a lot of bones in it.

Very good. Neurodivergent friendly. Portion and quality fine.

Best chips I've had in a long time. Nice guy and spicy potatoes were amazing. When I'm in area I'll be back. Prices were very cheap

I liked the fish and chips here which my carer (James) got for me. They were not too salty and the portion size was perfect

Chips ware amazing but the quality of the sausages was very disappointing ..Overall good scran tho :)

We had cod and chips 1/12 about 6pm. Only one person ahead of me when I got there. They were queuing out the door when I left! There were also lots of orders going out of the door to be delivered. I am not surprised at all because our cod and chips were delicious 😋

Chips are great!The batter on the fish however was a sloppy, wet mess on the bottom- slightly disappointing for a first visit. Not sure if the fish was cooked from frozen which may explain why it was soggy once it sat in the box- only live at the top of the hill so wasn't in there long! Who knows.Might give it another go at some point.

#1 Chippy in my area!Great prices and food is always cooked fresh plus staff are always trying to help.Had this place many times and always loved it with the friends/family.Recently I went in for 3x family feast and the food was above perfect but we had a problem with the chicken burger being stripe burgers. But the owner gave me a bell and sorted this out with no hassle which we all appreciate. Many thanks Chippy and please stay safe and keep smashing it 👍People make mistakes but takes a real great restaurant to understand and solve it with ease.

1st time using The chippy..we totally enjoyed our meal..fish was lovely batter was light.chips for me were perfect..we ordered a portion of onion rings we were totally surprised they were huge slices of Spanish onion in a crispy batter..we will definitely be back.
