The George in Plymouth

We used to eat here regularly until it changed hands a few years ago. We had one meal and didn't go back , until recently.It has changed hands again and ditched the predominantly burger menu.We have now been twice and it's a lovely menu with good food and service.Will be back.

Returned to have lunch after 20 years absent. Friendly welcome, amazing food, would highly recommend, will be our new go to place.

Great beer garden , particularly on a sunny afternoon. Very friendly staff.Did not try the food but friends have recommended so hope to try some very soon

Stayed at The George for two nights as we were attending a wedding up the road. Really friendly staff who gave us such a warm welcome and showed us to our room. The room itself was lovely. Good size bedroom and bathroom with a decent shower. Breakfast was very good and they have Rattler Cider. Would definitely recommend.

Our 2 night stay was great. The room was fresh and clean, had everything we needed and a REALLY comfortable bed. Thanks to the staff for a delicious breakfast served with a smile! Would definitely come back if we were in the area again. Significantly cheaper than other hotels nearby.

Really clean well appointed rooms, plenty of hot water. Had to extend my stay another night and they were really helpful even though they were extremely busy. Lovely breakfast, super Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff.

Didn’t stay for the night, people who served us were very polite didn’t have to wait too long for drink at all. Dining area was clean and didn’t have that spilled alcohol smell in the air Service Defiantly with a smile. Would highly recommend.Now for the food; prices seem very reasonable I had the BLT (without mayo🤢 just not a fan of it) this wasn’t a problem for them to leave it out.Food came out at a decent speed their bread is next level! Proper door step thick cut bread food is lush this place massively exceeded my expectations.food quality is beyond pub grub level more restaurant level fantastic and I look forward to coming back have a great day!!

I had a lovely stay at the George Inn fir 2 nights ..very friendly and helpfull staff ..superb food ..comfortable well appointed rooms good free parking 👏

Lovely clean and newly refurbed double room. I didn't get back til late so can't speak to the sound levels from the pub below but the breakfast was a huge and satisfying portion that was freshly cooked and not kept under a light bulb. Would stay here again!

Very friendly bar, inn, restaurant, with a big carpark at the back. They revamped the outside tables, looks really cool. The inside had plenty tables, log fire going on cold nights. The staff is really friendly and the cocktails were amazing.
