The Jaws in Plymouth

When here 4 the very fist time ordered a large chips and large cod. The cod was very tasty and was cooked very nice. The chips were nice and enough for two of.us. the staff was very polite and nice and the shop was very clean. Will be going back again soon.

This place is awesome. The food is amazing, always hot and delicious and there's always a smile to go with your meal. The staff are brilliant. Absolutely would recommend to anyone, hungry or not. I'll be back again and again and again!

Lovely fish and chip shop. The haddock was really nice, fresh and flakey. I personally don't like thick batter which is was too crunchy but this batter had the perfect consistency (for me), it was light yet still crisp. The battered sausage was the same. The cheesy chips were really nice too with a generous portion of cheese to chip ratio. Loved the cod roe also, which is hard to find as alot of places tend to over batter it and all you get is grease as a taste rather than the taste of the roe. The curry sauce was pretty good too. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a proper, local chippy that's also decently priced. You may even get a few extra items for free if you go there just before closing and they've got surplus food which is always a bonus! 8/10

Best chippy I’ve had crispy batter hot and fresh with ample portions, I chose the small chips and was glad I did, more than enough.This will be my go to chippy from hence forth.

Unfortunately the batter on the fish was uncooked. It put me off the whole meal. The fish itself was ok ish but the batter was inedible and had to go in the bin. Waste of money.

i must say good quality food. look a bit dated (some DIY required) but clean. friendly staff. difficult access for disabled people due to large front step, but supporting staff overcoming this every time. well done.

The staff are exceptional, they put up with myself and my rowdy work colleagues on an almost daily basis. The food is exceptional.That said, the staff are what makes this place exceptional, along with the delicious fried food that is offered here.Just as feedback (from my workforce and I) please consider serving deep fried mars bars and other sweets!The Jaws is absolutely stunning.

A genuine British fish n chip shop, great portion sizes, really well cooked quality food and friendly too! You'd be hard pushed to find better in Plymouth!
