The Ship in Plymouth

Busy pub with lots of nooks and crannies, Sharps and St Austell cask ales and a pleasant atmosphere. Beer was a bit pricey but was well kept.

Fantastic place for a good selection of food and drinks. Ideal location on the Barbican with ample outside seating. Staff are amazing well worth a visit if your in the area. It has now become one of our favourites.

There are 3 real ales on offer. The price of a pint of ale and a large cabernet sauvignon was £12. The seating was warm, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly. They also dress in period costume

Been here on and off over the years. The return visit today did not disappoint! Great staff, a good pint and good food...Well Done!!

Clean, welcoming and heated outdoor area great to people and boat watch. Dog friendly as well. Nice selection of drinks as well.

Great fish and chips!!We are Canadians with roots in England and just loved our visit to "The Ship" while finding our roots last month. It was early nightfall and all the boats and watercraft were all lit up and do serene. The ambience and view from the restaurant one floor up was flawless. Food was good... thoroughly enjoyed a variety of local ciders.. thoroughly recommend.

This bar and restaurant is located in a great location on the historic Barbican over looking the harbour. The menu and beers offered from this St Austell Brewery owned Bar is excellent and you can enjoy dining drinking or both in the friendly atmosphere from the very helpful and friendly staff.Recently they have made the outside seating area even more attractive with all large bins enclosed that doesn't now spoil the wonderful views and many plant boxes arranged along the seated canopy areas.I've lived on the Barbican for over 30 years and the Ship bar and restaurant is one of the best places to visit for any occasion with friends or family within a great location...

Excellent and very smart harbour side pub. Nice tidy set up inside and with tables (under space heaters) outside along the quay. Good mix of local beers and all the usual European beers. Friendly staff and good local crowd.

Amazing service! Dave saw we had a little one and made sure we knew the kitchen was closed while we were waiting in the queue. He let us know about space inside and then even helped us get a seat near mates. Great place super busy on bank holiday weekend. Dave's hospitality definitely made our night.

Great pub with a nice outside seating area and good choice of beers and cider. Service is fast and efficient and the staff are friendly and helpful. Didn't have food on this occasion, but everything else is good. Nice view of the harbour if you want to sit outside and watch life go by. Would definitely recommend.
