Yukisan in Plymouth

Ordered a takeaway- they forgot the sauce for my katsu curry, so I just had deep fried chicken and plain rice. When I phoned requesting a refund for the price of my curry (not the entire bill) I was told it was all my fault and I must have misplaced it. The owner was rude, arrogant and completely unwilling to admit any fault their end.

Lovely restaurant, really nice ambience, staff were extremely attentive. I really enjoyed my first Japanese cuisine experience and will definitely be returning. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the eel kabayaki and highly recommend it. Fantastic service.

All the staff members were very nice and friendly.I ordered the seafood bento, it was okay. Not the best tempura as the batter was a bit hard, the edamame beans were soggy and watery, but the salmon was good.But overall, it's not a bad restaurant to enjoy a little bit of peace and quiet while having Japanese food. :)

Excellent food and service. The place is surprisingly big inside comparing the view from outside. The ambience is very welcoming.

Food was lovely and staff was friendly.Only lil complaint is portions sizes but nothing major as I can eat a wedge sometimes 😅Outside of that it was really nice and recommend of your in the area 👍

Now I do love Japanese food but this restaurant is amazing! Brilliant food, friendly staff & super service. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu (but I also want to eat everything we had again!!!)

Oh my! We booked here about 6 weeks before we came, purely on high recommendations from Google... We were not disappointed. From the moment you enter you are well taken care of. We opted for the floor seating upstairs and the taster menu. I had the plum cocktail, perfect sweetness and full of flavour. The courses came, and each and every component was as good as the first. Fresh fish, perfect rice, taste was excellent. The staff are an asset to the restaurant, each one pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. I really wish I lived closer, as this has to be my favourite dining experience in a very long time. Next time I'm in Plymouth, I am coming without hesitation.

Very delicious sushi and miso soup. The fish tasted fresh and amazing. The waitress did not remember what type of sushi was on the sushi plate. The two and the three course meals relatively expensive. I prefer to order the food separately. It was all in all a good experience but there are only one type of dessert which is ice cream.
