Really friendly place, immaculately clean, fantastic choice of meals for adults and children. The best gluten free battered cod I've had and lots of other GF options!

A resident of Branksome and called in many times. A bag of chips en route home... £2.75...!! I know things go up... but disgusting. Left them on the the counter, will never go there again.!! Shame 😢

Had an amazing haddock and chips on Saturday night. Possibly one of the best fish suppers I have ever had. See you again soon Browns!

Great fish and chip takeaway... They have perfected the batter to a tea... Chips are not soggy but crisp anfd no after taste of oil(not grease) and a good menu to select from. However the Chicken piece is hok but miss the quarter or half roast chickensBring them back all is forgiven👍

Totally disgusted at portion size of cod ordered large and medium. The large appeared large but was found to be only half an inch thick. the medium was a disgrace 7 inches long by 1 inch wide 2 fish fingers end to end would have been bigger on returning to shop I was told that was a standard cod. Not worth £4I don't know where they get there standards from seem to make up there own will not go there again photo of item with picnic fork not a full size dinner fork just shows size. Photo shows how small fish size was as review photo thinks it is a battered sausage

Very popular and it's not hard to see why. Great traditional Fish & Chips, reasonable prices, and quick taking orders & cooking times. Great to see it reopen after the lockdown.

Great fish and chips, very generous portions! This Fish and Chip shop has been a corner stone of takeout treats on Alder Road for decades, its friendly staff, amazing service and great tasting food has served the local community for years. They have recently opened up a restaurant next door which I highly recommend as the service is great and the food amazing to eat fresh off a plate.

There are many good fish and chips shops in the area, but Browns is the best in my opinion. Very consistent and excellent gluten free options.

Just like "Brown's Fish & Chips" in Christchurch this outlet offers a consistently high quality fish and chip menu with super clean prep and cooking areas. I'd personally love to have a proper bread roll and butter 😉

Great fish and chips, Although the portions looked small they were more than sufficient, fish not greasy, chips wonderful. Great covid precautions for staff and customers alike. It would be great if they put the salt and vinegar on prior to taking it to the door for you to collect. Also onion vinegar would be a fantastic addition to your condiments.
