Compton Acres Cafe in Poole

6 of us shared a special afternoon tea and it was fab. The food we had and the staff that served us were wonderful. Highly recommended a visit and if its a special occasion don't go anywhere else.

Went to Compton Acres with mother in law last Sunday, coffee was fine but scones were almost inedible. Something must have gone wrong during mixing or baking. Very disappointed as it was first time out for 96yr old mother after 2yrs.

Compton Acres garden & cafe a great place to visit. The garden is a magical surprise, the food delicious and the staff second to none. Great shop for gifts & we love the plant section too. Not to be missed.

Very busy but very nice coffee and avocado cake. Quite expensive but as we went on a Tuesday during August, we were able to take advantage of The Eat Out To Help Out scheme!

We usually enjoy the cafe at Compton Acres but so disappointed today. We had a salmon and cream cheese sandwich and fries to share. The sandwich was over £5. It was dry, very little salmon and hardly any cream cheese. The fries arrived 20 minutes after our sandwich! We complained about the poor sandwich and all they offered us was another coffee. No apology even! Not going back .

I just love the tranquility of this place. In the heart of a big tourist focus town, Compton Acres provides a surprisingly peaceful opportunity to relax and wander around beautiful and perfectly maintained gardens. Woodlands areas, a formal Italian garden, Japanese garden and well laid out ponds / streams all make this a great afternoon out. Very recommended.

A wonderful charming and welcoming entrance to the beautiful Compton Acres Gardens. The café and tea rooms are cute, open and casual eat in bakery that serves hot and cold food. Selection of dishes are simple such as soups, fish and chips, quiche and salad and sandwiches. They have an enormous selection of cakes and drinks.They also sell made to order cakes from the selection they sell and extremely reasonable prices. We ordered a signature caramel & raspberry 9" cake for £35 with custom message on.Lovely for impromptu treat.

Lovely cafe with a good selection of food and drinks. The cafe is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend and will visit the cafe again when I visit the gardens.
