Tonight we are at the Jolly Sailor. It's bike night on the Quay. The suns out, the women are here, guys on bikes. Fish in Batter, chips in the Sunshire, Cheers. The front was packed with everyone and his dog, great place to be.

Left in the end service terrible. Ordered starter and mains before pub got busy. A table of 8 had come in and I'd moved table's in order for them to be accommodated for. We ordered before them and the next big table that walked in also. Eventually after a 40 min wait we received are starter of nachos with a comment of the ticket had only just gone in. After the starter we waited and waited my husband went to the bar 3 times to ask what the delay was he got told we had a party of 8 in yes well we ordered we'll before them and they had now brought all the people food out that had arrived and ordered after us. Eventually told it would be 10 minutes 10 minutes came and went still no apology no reason no food. After an hour and 45 minutes we had had enough and asked for a refund told food was now coming out. Didn't want it by then. There had obviously been a mistake with our ticker but instead of sorting it or letting us know what was going on we were left in limbo. A shame because the food that was coming out looked nice. Wouldn't bother again after todays fiasco

I was in for the boxing itâs was very well run was a amazing vibe drinks come very fast and with a smile could not asked for anything better. Toilets have been under refurbishments lately, looks like theyâre coming on well.

Amazing place on the front, green king pub food took a while to come but was informed when ordering. Couldn't complain at all when called to make a reservation, the person on the phone was polite and once there he made my kid feel welcome and went out of his way to help. Food was really nice and I couldn't fault it at all would definitely go back again.

We saw this pub going dramatically downhill last summer as we visit every week whilst Poole Quay bike night goes on. The place was in dire need of a makeover and new facilities installed. Toilets were appalling in the ladies with loo seats off completely, locks broken and no working hand drier - nor was there hand towels provided as a temporary alternative. Towards the end of the season, it was refreshing to see a new manager take over and there were many improvements in just 2 weeks - including better portions and a brand new hand drier finally appeared in the ladies! We returned yesterday for the first time since, as bike night has once again resumed. Was horrified to see a lot of missing tables out the front, and chairs were sat round in large group - clearly left from the night before or even the weekend - not to mention the abundance of empty glasses yet to have been cleared away everywhere. When I went inside to use the toiletsâŠthere were tables left uncleared all over the place. Great first impression! There was also food waiting to be delivered at the end of the bar with no staff in sight. Then to get to the loos and find all 3 cubicles were awful and I couldnât use them - all 3 had broken seats and only one cubicle had a working lock! Walls were scratched to pieces and looked very unsightly. I went back to the downstairs disabled loo and that wasnât a great deal better. Urine on the floor where somebody had clearly missedâŠwhen I walked back through - the orders were still waiting at the end of the bar and getting cold.Overall, Iâm extremely disappointed. This was our go to pub for summer as we love the outdoor seating out the front. When the Antelope - another Green King - is only a few hundreds yards away, how can they get it so right when you are failing miserablyâŠ? Green King seriously need to spend some money on this place and itâs been long overdue! Sort it out please guys :-(

Jolly sailor on Poole quey is a great place to eat and drink. Quality food and a great service. Enjoyed visiting this Riverside pub on more than one occasion. I'll be back around September time and probably visit again. Thank you.

Had lunch here all very good, barman brought out a bowl water for our dog, the sandwiches we had were really tasty ( fish fingers and a chicken bacon) the skinny chips were to die for, really tasty

Lovely pub, highly recommend the fish and chips. Only complaint (which I politely informed the lovely barmaid before I left), is the fact I couldn't strap my little girl in on the baby changing table as the buckle is bent out of shape. Other than that, great pub - million times better than the wetherspoons next door.

Stopped at the Jolly Sailor for some lunch outside since the weather has been so nice. We had a small wait while tables were being cleaned and turn around, but in the sunshine it wasn't an issue. Once seated you will have to have the app downloaded to order. This might be an issue for less tech savvy individuals, but I'm sure the very helpful staff would give you a hand. Our food and drinks were lovely!
