A lovely pub, great staff, lovely food and proper old pub with five different sitting areas.

A lovely historic pub with a calm atmosphere and friendly bar staff. Some separate areas to sit downstairs and often live bands upstairs, so something different for everyone.

2and half years Covid.. last time Great Chouda.. this time Beef Strauginf. Chicken Chasuer.. must have been boil in the bag..I had plastic left in my pallette.. the worst chicken ( think Micro waved).. worst meal we have ever had.

Great live bands every Friday and Saturday,good selection of ales,fantastic staff,and warm welcoming atmosphere like one big social club with friendly and interesting regulars. Always a great night.

Such a lovely pub with pleasant staff. Seafood chowder was excellent!

Old Boozer with friendly staff.The Guinness was good.Had the fish pie.It was tasty but the portion was small.

Great pub still retains some of it's old character. Lots of little hideaways and a huge vaulted upper floor where bands play. We just had a quick pint.

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon - very empty pub. Lovely looking but unfortunately was made to feel very unwelcome by the staff who made us feel like it was a chore to serve us a drink. We soon left and came to realise why the pub was empty. Such a shame.

Quality olde worlde pub just away from the quay. On entering there are two rooms either side of the corridor oozing history and atmosphere. Further in, there is the bar area which is a little more modern and one little side room even has a TV. Upstairs is a medieval hall area which is used for live events. Food is extremely good and has some good gluten free options, I recommend the sirloin steak, wonderful. Overall, a great boozer. Enjoy. M

A beautiful but very sad pub right on the sea front. This beautiful old pub with original vaulted ceiling really needs some refurbishment. We tried to order various things on the menu but soon realised that they had very little food. This place needs serious work then it would be stunning. If there had been food available I might have given it 3 stars.
