Where is Koh Noi?

🏠 292 Sandbanks Rd, Lilliput, Poole BH14 8HX

"Welcome to Koh Thai. We think it's the best Thai restaurant in Poole, Dorset. A place where the irresistibly rich flavours of Thai cuisine can be shared and sampled with fiery cocktails, far-flung beers and world-class music. Nestled into Lilliput High Street, moments from the beautiful Sandbanks, our tiny island playground is where we have a bit more focus on our bar, famous for our award-winning cocktails. It's the perfect solution, whether you are looking to make a night of it, or you're just swinging by."

We were staying at one of the hotels in sandbanks this weekend which was lovely but the food at the hotel was tasteless and boring. We were so lucky to have found this place, just a 20 minute walk away. The place was buzzing and we hadn’t booked but the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, a treat for the tastebuds. Cocktails were great too. Highly recommend this place…we told about three people about it on our walk back to our hotel! 👍😁

Came for a take away as on holiday, incredible food and service, the other half was really impressed (he is so fussy) so thats 5 stars in our mind. I had the Thai Vermacelli Noodles with spring rolls as starter - beautiful, fresh, flavoursome.

Beautiful food ,great presentation and very fresh flavour. Stand out dish was the prawn dim sum and the crispy duck in tamarind sauce, that one was a show stopper, would love to go back to try all the other dishes . Thanks for a great meal

I’ve always enjoyed this place however when finding long long hairs in your food is just disgusting!! This shows that the chefs DO NOT wear hair capes etc. Nothing worse when having a mouth full and you have to pull out a extra long hair . Yuccckkk!!!

Pretty disappointing and it was mostly because of staff. When we were sat down, we were left for ten minutes before being asked about drinks. By that point we were ready to order so did it all at once. The food was mostly good! I was already put off by the fact they'd gotten rid of my favourite dish (thai beef salad) but it is what it is. We had the Dim sum and satay skewers starters, both very nice. And then Tamarind duck with bangin' broccoli, Asian sea bass and Sam Tom salad. The duck was amazing, so was the broccoli. The sea bass was nice, very delicate flavours but the Sam Tom was bland. The menu said it was spicy but there was no flavour to it at all. When we were done eating, staff came and took the plates away with no offer to see the pudding menu or to get anything else. And instead we were sat there for ten minutes with nothing, no drinks, no plates and no one came to check on us. We were going to order pudding but I got fed up of waiting while the two couples next to us were tended to without any delays and we were ignored (likely because there was nothing on the table). We managed to catch one staff member to ask for the bill who then proceeded to stand behind the bar looking like a lost sheep with nothing to do. It took another ten minutes before she eventually brought the bill out to us (might not sound like much but when you're sat there doing nothing, it does feel like forever but I did keep my eye on the time). We paid up immediately and left.I have previously been a big fan of Koh Thai having mainly been to the one in Bournemouth (and the one in Boscombe when it was around) but my experience here left an incredibly disappointing feeling mostly due to the staff. I'm not sure I can be bothered to give Koh Thai another chance but if I do, it certainly won't be here.

Sam, our waitress was great, took our orders correctly and delivered promptly. I had the triple cooked half ginger chicken. The chicken was tasteless!! The sauce was ok. Tom yum soup...not the greatest. I was given the wrong bill and stupidly paid without checking. No one seems to answer your phones!! So another 27 miles to get a refund.

A Thai Restaurant that doesn’t disappoint. 😍 Not only are the staff super welcoming and very friendly, but the food is honestly super tasty! Also I feel the pricing is spot on. 👌🏻 Neither food nor drinks are overpriced. Especially for the Lilliput/Whitecliff/Sandbanks area, this is a great option with lots of free parking opposite in one of the side roads. The Chardonnay wine on the menu was very fruity and refreshing, the Squid (starter) was cooked almost to perfection, and the Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken (main dish) was full of flavour and very spicy! 🌶 With the friendly and efficient service it is also no surprise to see and of course settle the service charge on the bill. 💳Overall highly recommend if you are within the Lilliput/Whitecliff area! 🙌🏻 Great Thai food, great staff and a great little gem of a restaurant.

The food was delicious, we had a party of 8 on a Wednesday night , the restaurant was busy and lively, service was good and the dishes we choice were tasty hot and and vdy well presented. Great place to go when you are in Bournemouth.

Arrived on a fairy busy Saturday evening. Server showed us the table and then took our order. Drinks arrived straight away, following by very tasty starters and then delicious main courses. Food worth the price, cheerful atmosphere, background music a little bit loud, but will give 5 stars. Happy to return and recommend it! 😃 Thank you! 🤗
