Lakeside Fish and Chips Restaurant and Takeaway in Poole

After a day spent visiting the RNLI HQ, 4 of us had a fabulous sit-down meal tonight! Best scampi I've ever had, rich and creamy homemade tartare sauce was divine, huge portions, lovely welcoming staff, delicious homemade bread and butter pudding too! A lovely experience and would definitely recommend!

Brilliant fish & chips but the establishment offers so much more including a restaurant as well as take away.A very comprehensive menu gives plenty of choice, including calamari as well as various types of fish and pies.I highly recommend the establishment!

Absolutely 1st class dinner here on 18th Feb. The best ever batter on the fish; good and generous quantities of everything else. The fixed dinner deal of fish and chips, beans/mushy peas, coleslaw garnish, bread roll, beer and coffee or tea after with mint was extraordinarily good value at £13.99. So enjoyed having Gladys (L) as our server who made for a special time here. Super comfort and outstanding views. Loved it all!

Being on holiday in the area for the first time, I really wanted a good fish and chips lunch meal. What an absolute treat - my husband and I shared the mussel starter (portion was so big we thought it was the main) and then had the fish & chips. WOW! Best fish and chips we have had in the UK. Added bonus was the view during lunch. I highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars from me

I was taken there as a treat by my son. I think it must have been the best battered fish I have ever tasted. The chips were good but not quite at the same level. Nice premises with great views. Charming staff. Recommended.

A lovely restaurant with really good food. Only thing that lets it down is the service, it is quite slow which is a shame. Lovely views across the lake. M

Delicious meal… Having a bad holiday, bad weather BUT we have just found this lovely restaurant with a lakeside view. Whole plaice topped with prawns cooked in white wine sauce and a sea food platter cod, king prawn, calamari, whitebait, scampi and dips. Nice view, nice staff, nice food! Cheered us up loads. 😁😁😁

Very disappointingAsked for a white plaice - waitress checked if one was available - yes - unfortunately that's not what I gotMy husband asked for ketchup - got vinegarWaited over 3 quarters of an hour for our drinks which would've been nice to have had with our starters which we'd already consumed by the time they arrived.When I complained about my plaice I was told they would change it but I'd already waited ages and I did actually want to eat with my husband - not have his go cold while we waited for mine or for him to start without me.They did apologise and say they were incredibly busy but many of the tables were emptyView from window very attractive especially with sun going down and tide coming in and the tartar sauce was tasty.
