Miller & Carter in Poole

The welcome, service and food were all great. Friendly welcome and server. The food was just sublime. Our only criticism was the speed of the service. We were probably the first guests through the door at 1730hrs. We were quickly at our table however the food order was not taken until about 1805hrs and then was delivered to us at around 1835hrs. An hour between arrival and eating is a little excessive. This did mean one of our party had to rush her meal as she needed to be away at 1900hrs.

Had a lovely lunch today. The food was plentiful, our waitress Ruby was very helpful and organised our deserts to go home with as we were so full! I would definetley recommend it as a place with a nice feel with great steaks!

Food was absolutely incredible, perfect in every way. The service was also outstanding (massive thanks to Ruby), which as a package gave us a memorable birthday lunch. A lovely touch was all the staff we encountered on our departure checked if we'd enjoyed ourselves.Highly recommended, best M and C we've been to and can't wait to return.

Service was among the best I've ever had. It's expensive but you get what you pay for. My partners starter was amazing and so was my main. I believe our host sent one of the dishes back as he wasn't happy with it which speaks to level of quality they strive for.

Really impressed. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and excellent steak. 8oz sirloin with bernaise sauce - spot on.

Originally we'd made plans at another restaurant but there was an accident on the road that prolonged the journey time so we would of been late, my husband recommended the Miller & Carter pub & grill & to be honest I'm so happy that he did as I feel we probably wouldn't gotten the same treatment as we did with Miller & Carter!! The food was delicious hubby & I both had the steak meduim rare. Had an amazing dessert banoffie pie & hubby had the knickerbocker glory the raspberry gin is a must!! Great recommendation 👍pricing was very reasonable, hospitality was perfect....everything was just wonderful, so happy had a lovely time perfect for an milestone anniversary celebration!! My husband enjoys an occasional steak and we were led to believe this is a great place to visit. We chose the Chateaubriand steak experience and although it is very well presented and looks mouthwatering it was a let down. I'm really glad I asked for potatoes instead of chips as that was the most enjoyable part of the meal! They went well with the three peppercorn sauce. My poor husband had to eat most of the huge chunk of meat. The onion loaf was a let down, I was looking forward to that but it was tasteless. My husband's dessert ( Eton Mess) was visually the worst looking dish I've ever seen (see photo) and he should have sent it back. He stupidly forced himself to eat it. My dessert was apple and rhubarb crumble with vegan custard and was nicely presented but the rhubarb was hard and crunchy. I should have returned it, as usual too polite. The place just feels like an upmarket Harvester and we've outgrown that type of place now.

I wish there was more stars as Miller & Carter has to be one of the best steak restaurants I've ever been to the black Angus fillet is amazingly good. Look forward to going back again very soon

We visited at the start of July, and had a wonderful meal in the late evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was busy but not crowded; you'll want to book as early as you can to get the time you want.I had the 50 day aged "Black Angus Sirloin" steak and it was amazing, highly recommended if you haven't tried it as it's good value comparatively to the 30 day selection. Desert was delicious also. Overall a wonderful dinner out, and we would visit again.
