Oakdale Fishery in Poole

Visited relative in Poole, went in here with my Aunty, order Fish and chips x3 everyone enjoyed it! From where I come from cod wasn't too pricey either! Top marks 🤗

Good quality food, compared to other fish and chip shops in the area very poor portion size for the price.

First time visiting this fish and chip shop, ordered 5 cod and chips, all cooked fresh, beautiful fish and plenty of chips... the food was still very hot when we served it up at home. Will certainly be returning.

These guys I can't fault anything. They serve a decent fish and chips prices are reasonably and serve never had a problem . Parking out front sometimes can be tricky but that's not there problem . Hence 5 star

I was expecting good food. Honestly for the price, very average. Terrible service, the food wasn't even salted. Nobody asked for salt, vinegar, ketchup ......

Visited this shop this week and to my surprise they do not offer regular chip shop vinegar & salt as they serve your order instead they give you sachets which in my mind is not the same!When I asked why they blamed it on COVID!!I can understand they may not want to have customers handles bottle but they should be able to do it as they are cooking my order.

Wish this place had never changed hands it used to be very good. Went in tonight paid £3.80 for a large chips, got home, whole bag was virtually all dry crispy shards of sharp potato, no real proper chip shop chips in there at all. Very dissapointed so I shall not be going back.

What a rip off! Tasteless chips and £5.20 for a large cod which is actually a small cod and at least 80% batter. No wonder service was so unenthusiastic. And why credit card only? We do not yet live in a cashless society thankfully. Will never give this establishment my money again.

Ordered standard cod and chips, it came in suspiciously stapled bag, should have realised it was a scam by the 10g weight. Drove home , opened bag and fish box.....there was a L shaped fish finger and 10 chips in bag. My son burst out laughing, how much did u pay he asked, £8 said I, why didn't u go to skates he replied, it was closed. Drove back and asked for money back , guy said size was standard, not sure what that meant, as this was the smallest take away portion ever. I want my £8 back, he was getting a bit aggressive, said I was talking crop...got my money back.

Usually very very good, but first time was below the usual very high standards and this time i was there to review. Service was very good as per usualIt was very very busy! Next time i will visit after rush hour tea time period, when quality i believe is much bespoke!Order of larger chips and large cod with two medium cod an two medium chips... Ended with three cod closely the same size an felt a little robbed. Usually large is very large, Chips was good and fish was nice enough but smaller than usual....Chips usually better and fish batter thicker and crunchier...
