Pleasant area right on the Quay, we were waiting a while for staff to come to table and take orders, the food was great we all enjoyed our meals.

Wonderful, nicely decorated and clean restaurant on the quayside at Poole. We stopped there for a meal on our holiday and it didn't disappoint. The staff serving us couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, and they really made the whole experience very special for us. The food is also brilliant, and I went in a party of 3 with a vegan and a gluten intolerant person. They had menus specially for both dietary requirements and didn't skimp on choice. They were also flexible enough to offer alternatives where possible to choices from the main menu. Thoroughly recommended.

Popped in here as we didn't fancy a pub meal. More cafe than fancy restaurant but an enjoyable meal all the same. A wide variety of dishes. Only Maria serving when we went on a Wednesday it was busy.Perfect for casual dining people in shorts and jeans.

What a gem this restaurant is! My husband and I had a wonderful meal, with a beautiful view. The food was fantastic, with our dietary requirements catered for without any problem (I am lactose intolerant and my husband a vegetarian). They had a variety of vegan dishes, including cakes! The staff are nothing but welcoming, personable and attentive. The restaurant is very charming and clean, with a relaxed but comforting atmosphere.

Went there after a long day at Durdle Door and then went back to Poole to do a little crab fishing with the kids. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly, we were seated immediately and initially opted to sit outside. As it was early evening it was getting a little chilly so the man gave the kids a nice thick warm blanket, which they kids loved. Unfortunately our youngest was still cold so we ended up inside, upstairs which again was really nice. All the meals were excellent, best meal we’ve had the 2 days we were in Dorset! Can’t fault the value given the location. Would definitely recommend and will visit again when we’re next in Poole!

Fantastic vegan menu, so much choice. My friend who I went with said her non vegan options were delicious. The Hummus was the best she'd ever had.I can't wait to visit again. The food that was being served to other tables also looked amazing. Customer service was brilliant.

Unfortunately although I have to say that the food when it actually arrived was very nice, the service was exceedingly poor. We were ignored when seated, waited 35 mins before receiving drinks or giving food order, ignored again after requesting water for the table and generally received no 'service' at all. Indeed I felt that the waitress would rather that we were not there! There was no acknowledgment of us at any time. We paid our bill and left. I would almost rather receive some quite of appreciation and service than just good food as after all, it should be about the whole experience.😂

A great little find on the Poole Quay waterfront. We only stopped for a coffee but indulged in a wonderful slice of carrot cake each, generous and delicious. Staff were fast and efficient. The restaurant looked good, with an extensive daily specials board. Toilets were clean, even luxurious. I would thoroughly recommend.

Always good at the Oriel. Just a couple of niggles. If you come over to say is this the birthday girl? at least wish her happy birthday! 🙄 There was no other acknowledgement. Not expecting freebies but we did spend quite a lot. Also the birthday girl's oriental stir fry was way too salty, possibly too much soy sauce. The waitress asked how it was so I told her. Wonder if the message got back to the kitchen?
