Rainbow Chinese takeaway in Poole

On holiday from London and fancied a Chinese. It was awful, I can honestly say it’s the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had and I’ve had a few in my time. Meats were soggy and processed, chow mien had a weird tang and after taste rice was bland and all stuck together in clumps with a weird sauce and vegetables on top. Mostly under cooked onion. Battered chicken balls were under cooked batter all squidgy inside. Sweet and sour sauce had a weird taste like vinegar. Was going to leave a leaflet in the holiday home for the next guest but putting it in the bin.

Very friendly staff who seem to love making the food.They have fresh food cooked separately for different intolerances and dietary requirements. Their vegan options are great.

Just had one of the best sweet and sour pork and prawn Hong Kong style ever. For a small takeaway it was perfectly cooked.shame they don't deliver to South London

Got to be best chinese takeaway I have had we all enjoyed.....

Standard if food has gone down. No.longer authentic Chinese flavours, most dishes smothered in soy sauce.

By far the best Chinese I've ever had!Full of Flavour. Absolutely delicious. Tender meat and perfect, quality, depth of flavour sauces. I'd almost given up on trying Chinese takeaways after being constantly disappointed with bland, watery, flavourless rubbish from most other places. Rainbow has surprised and delighted us with the best meal we've had in a long time.

Have been ordering from them for over 3 years and tried all the take aways in my area. Always friendly on ordering, delivery is more than often less than advised when ordering. The food, always hot and by far the tastiest in the area, less preservatives, less salt, more flavour. Fried items are still crunchy and never greasy. Would recommend to anyone looking for fresh, clean and tasty food from a 5 star team, end to end.Most of these negative "delivery" and delays stemmed from COVID (check the date of the review) and every other chinese were closed, give them a break and try them!

Fantastic lunch.I popped in for the first time today and were immediately impressed with how friendly and helpful the lady serving us was.The House Special Fried Noodles, that both my wife and I ordered, came out promptly and hot, clearly cooked from scratch and with love. Absolutely delicious and a very generous portion topped with an egg.I would absolutely recommend The Rainbow and both my wife and I will be returning for lunch next week, Fantastic
