Rancho South American Steak House, Poole, Dorset in Poole

Came in on a Tuesday evening. Was greeted by friendly staff and a happy environment. Saw plenty of what I can assume to be regulars who were greeted with familiarity and even made more bookings in advance. Staff were polite. Food came quick. A rack of ribs with rice and salad. All was very nice. And the cocktail I had. A black Russian was just right. Worth coming again.

Splendid steak, but the owner is more interested with their phone and sat lounging around like its there living room on the phone with customers about. People are waiting for service having to whistle across the room and shout for service.

I've ordered a medium rare ribeye and my hus and a medium rare rump. The flavour of the meat is nice, still the pictures are proof that neither the ribeye nor the rump are medium rare. Even though when my ribeye was brought, I've asked if indeed it's medium rare as it didn't look right and it was rechecked with the kitchen and confirmed as medium rare. A bit dissappointed as it's listed as a steakhouse. Service was good and as there were only 4 tables, the drinks/food came very fast

Very nice food. I had the St Marteen mix of ribs and steak. Also comes with salad which i didn’t take a picture of.

Christmas Eve plans changed, meaning we needed to eat in Poole. We came here 3.years ago and had an indifferent experience. On this occasion it was much quieter and we almost had the undivided attention of the staff. Wife had ribs. I had the mixed grill. Very nice indeed. As an observation the only area for improvement would be to include more than half a cherry tomato and 1 slice of cucumber per portion of salad. Lastly, I believe that service charge should be at the discretion of the customer. Service was good, but you shouldn't be forced to pay a service charge regardless of the service you experience. But overall a good experience, and the Manager seems a lot happier than when we last saw him!

Visited with my husband whilst on a two night break away. We went on a Tuesday evening without a booking but they were able to fit us in. We both had steaks which were very tasty and cooked as we wanted. Chips were really nice. Staff were pleasant an I would recommend it. Would have given a five star but it was a little cold in there.

The steak was beautifully cooked, and I can recommend the Trio steak. Value was good though we noted service is added automatically to the bill, however this may just be because we were a larger party. Friendly staff, good food, and a comfortable environment to eat it in!

Celebrated a milestone birthday here tonight, wow is all I can say!! The food was absolutely gorgeous, juiciest fillet steak I've ever had! Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We often have steak at Miller and Carter but this really was miles better. Great cocktails at a very reasonable price too.We will be back!

Amazing food.. Very busy restaurant so be prepared to wait for table service.. But great food and plating!

Excellent food highly recommend. We did have to wait but it was a busy night. Worth a visit would go back again.
