An Exceptional RestaurantWithout a question the most memorable meal I’ve eaten in Dorset.Marta was an excellent host, we were all impressed by her in depth knowledge of the menu and her advice on each dish. I started with scallops and then a whole lobster with wild garlic, incredible, followed by cheese and port.Reg great job, you run a superb team! Thank you

The Guildhall Tavern has new owners and is the very best Poole can offer. Relaxing friendly atmosphere, very helpful staff. We had Game Terrain and sardine starters. Skate wing and lemon sole mains. Absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and the best lemon sole we've ever had. Good wine list from which we chose an extremely lovely Chablis. This restaurant and staff deserve accolades for food and service. Well done guys we will definitely be back.

What a find! New to the area, and booked in here for a birthday lunch. We received the warmest welcome, and each member of staff, including the maitre d’, really looked after us. The food was delicious yet unpretentious. Fresh seafood, really well cooked, at fair prices with a diverse wine list. Thank you for the lovely birthday surprise with my dessert! We aren’t staying in Dorset long term, but will be sure to go back as much as possible before we leave.

Though the Vegan options where very limited, but understably for a restaurant specialising in fish, right next to the sea. The options they did have where honestly delicious. The tempura vegetables where utterly divine

Glorious! We absolutely love this restaurant - great service (staffs were all smiles and personable), food are absolutely divine (chef showcase cooking technique and executed the dishes really well), family friendly (really good quality kids menu with proper vegetable sides included), baby friendly (baby change facilities included). It’s just an all rounded, good quality seafood restaurant. We would totally come back here again when we visit Poole again. Try it to know it!

Absolutely perfect.I have lived in Poole 9 years now and i have only just visited today. I had a wonderful experience. Lovely, friendly, attentive staff to me and the other fellow customers. Well staffed too which meant a quick and friendly service. Very good waitering skills. There celebrating our wedding anniversary. We had the fish soup for starters, a beautiful white wine which was a substitute for the one i chose but he priced matched. I had the halibut wrapped in pancetta which was perfectly done. My wife had the fish mornay dish (cant remember the proper name). Both dishes came with a choice of sides - we chose boiled potatoes, salad and vegetables. Perfect portion size, we actually had to leave some because we were starting to feel full. For dessert my wife chose the sorbet and i had the famous Chocolate sphere. Which for me was perfect. The hint of ginger and diced pear really go well together with the warm chocolate sauce. I actually felt like i was in a restaurant in France. This has to be my favourite restaurant in Dorset. I will be going back for sure. The outdoor seating was a pleasure. The setup was so beautifully presented throughout too.Thank you so much to the entire team.
