We went for a Thai meal at The Ox for my partner’s 60th birthday last weekend. The food was superb and the service was amazing. We had the lovely Andrea as our ‘table host/server’ - she was so friendly, attentive and welcoming. Compliments to the chef and a big thank you to Andrea for making the evening so enjoyable.

Stayed for 2 nights in a huge bedroom with a super kingsize bed. We had dinner there the first night which was well prepared. The pub has an elegant yet cosy feel to it.The car park is small and we had to park on the street. Got a parking ticket the first night but eventually found parking in the area in designated zones. Most are limited to 2 hours but are OK overnight and at weekends

My wife and I had a meal and drinks here. The staff were very attentive and the manager, Andrea is lovely and friendly. It has a cosy open fire and a great atmosphere. This is our new local!

Great food, good service, the only downside was that they had let a large party book a table just for drinks, this meant diners were crowded with lots of people standing up and drinking right next to where you were eating, this felt really imposing and also uncomfortable, fortunately the waitress moved us to another much better table.

Unfortunately the service we received recently was appalling. In a world where hospitality is recovering it's a real shame to see.We were sat at our table and I noticed a drip coming from the ceiling which I informed the manager of. She told me that someone must be having a shower above? No offer to move the table to avoid the drip either. Shortly it started again so we moved the table down ourselves. We were a table of 9 however 3 of us had to wait for our starter 15mins after everyone else's had arrived. When we notified the staff they were frantically running around. A lackluster apology was given. The staff could be seen talking around the till area frequently. We had to ask for the table to be cleared for both starter and main. When going to toilet the Manager was telling her staff to not loiter around the tills and that there would be consequences. This is really something that should be discussed away from paying customers. Finally when I spoke with the floor manager she advised that she was forever telling staff to not stand around talking and that she was finding it difficult. When the general manager came over to take payment and asked us how everything was she was confused as to why we felt so disgruntled? Bearing in mind she was the one who came over to take a look at the leak. Who gave a lackluster apology on the mix up of the starters....even though she took the order. Both the food and service was disappointing. Unfortunately we will never return on what once was a good restaurant.

Not been here since this establishment made the transition from more traditional fayre to Thai cuisine. Not overly busy and seemingly well staffed. Food was good but the service was sadly lacking.. By that I mean that the young team were sadly very very inattentive given that it was (by comparison) a quiet Saturday night. The young lady who was our primary point of service walked over to the table as we left to check whether we had left a tip. We had left a £5. I also asked her for a toothpick which she went off to try to find. She never came back with one or an apology for not having one. She served the next table and walked past me several times. Nothing. Her colleague found me one from the kitchen (satay skewer) in 5 seconds. It was at this point I withdrew the tip. Other factors during our meal were not clearing empty plates and numerous empty glasses congregating on the table making it difficult to lay out of meal. Considering that we spent £171 pounds between the 3.of us, we would have expected a slightly higher. Level of customer engagement. Won't be rushing back I'm afraid to say.

What a lovely atmosphere the food was great, it was quiet so I feel the need to share just how amazing this place is drop them a visit-the food is fab we had 3 courses and us fussy bunnies were loving every dish. Thankyou 😍

We were pleasantly surprised to discover a gem with delightful ambience & authentically prepared Thai food.We were impressed by the delicious flavours of chicken Pad Thai & Thai Green Curry. The lunch menu is reasonably priced & highly recommended.

Very underwhelming experience. Had the pad Thai with chicken. Some of the chicken was cold (cooked through but stone cold) which made me think it was reheated. Waitress was very snooty, and it's very overpriced. I understand you are now a Thai fusion place mainly, but the lunch menu is very lacking. Our vegetarian friend had barely any choice as it is very meat based, and you would have no options but chips and spring rolls if you're vegan. Afraid very overpriced, and along with the waitress's attitude problem we won't be visiting again

All well cooked but Starter Tuna chili. So strong it was even too much for my hubby who loves hot food and I like chili but just to much. Main Cod. Who knows still couldn't taste it after the tuna. New York cheesecake was lovely but would have been better with some pieces of fruit strawberry 🍓 or orange rather than a drizzle of choc sauce. It looked so boring. Great service.
