Chilled Red in Purbeck

Food quite nice but absolutely zero character or ambience. Felt very sterile. No art on view, lighting too bright.

Myself, Mum & Sister loved the food, atmosphere & service. I’m visiting Swanage again soon & will definitely revisit. Excellent

Food and staff great not a great atmosphere very bland interior to the restaurant.

Phoned to book a table for following evening, fortunately just after someone had cancelled. We had venison with bubble and squeak and lamb with gratin dauphinois plus vegetables. Both were absolutely bloody delicious. 2 puddings to follow.By the time we finished every table was taken. Well worth the price. £30 for 2 courses, £35 for 3 courses. I can't recommend it highly enough. Staff very friendly, welcoming and efficient.

Great meal as usual,worth a visit if in swanage or local area. Have to book this time of year to avoid being disappointed

Lovely small reasonably priced restaurant with excellent service and delicious fresh seafood.We had the specials, a fresh lobster and a fresh fish mixed grill selection. Both beautifully cooked.It is a bit tucked away, and the location is nothing special, but the food more than makes up for it.

I found the dining experience in Swanage to be relatively poor - terrible wines (think a wholesaler has Swanage in a chokehold! May be Majestic, God help us). Chilled Red stood out as markedly better and enjoyable. Lovely staff, reasonable menu, the four of us had a wide selection from the menu and we were all satisfied. It was a little short on welcoming decor so maybe once the Covid perils are behind us someone will make it a little warmer on appearance. The competition is not strong so it should be easy to really shine! If I return to Swanage then I will be back to Chilled Red. Good effort guys.

It was great! Food came quite quickly and it was all hot at the same time. Tea was nice as well so probably some kind of premium one. Not your average builders cafe. A little pricey but it's expected. Worth it if you need breakfast fast

I found a review in TripAdvisor saying that is is the best place in Dorset, I couldn't agree more. It could be a bit expensive but it is worth it. The service is great, definitely I'm planning to come back.
