Service was a little slow, even though I was the only customer standing at the "wait to be served" sign by the entrance. The three staff members seemed preoccupied with stock checking. After about 2-minutes, much to my relief, a member of staff acknowledged my presence and informed me they would take my order shortly, which they did. After placing my order I was informed he would call me when the food was ready. I made a point to sit close by on a chair (only outdoor seating was available at the takeaway part of the cafe), otherwise I would not have heard the quiet voice a few moments later saying "cod is ready".The fish was a very generous size and cooked perfectly with a crispy batter, costing £6. Excellent value and quality. Service just needs a little improvement.P. S. The fish is so good that I've been back every day since.

Lovely little cafe and perfectly situated after the amount of walking you'll be doing. The lady server is so friendly and welcoming. The toasted tea cakes are highly recommend!! 👌

Stopped in for tea and cake on New Year’s Day and we really enjoyed Finley’s Cafe. There was a bit of a wait but it’s wasn’t unreasonable and the staff were helpful and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the low cost for a cream tea and two other drinks / I had expected to pay more in such a popular location. The scones were lovely and my family commented on the good quality of their drinks. The cafe is comfortable, spacious, dogs are welcomed and there are clean toilet facilities as well. Overall, this was a great place to stop and I would highly recommend it. Thank you.

Guys are understaffed but they sell fish&chips for the great value for money. Large portions - 10 minutes wait, sometimes 30... But again - it means it worth waiting for!

I am no fish and chips aficionado, but I sort of got what I was expecting. Tasty and fresh, crispy, good size portion. I liked what received and left satisfied, I think that grants 5 stars.Edit: this was the first fish and chips we had in the UK, but we haven't encountered better in the two weeks we've been there.

A long wait - 30 minutes from order to taking possession of our cod and chips. The food is delicious: some of the best fish and chips you'll find.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in my life. Seaside fish and chips are legendary but this one was special. From the friendly and smiling staff who greet you as you walk in and offer sauces, vinegar and salt. Cold drinks and awesome cider. The fish and chips were crispy, fresh and succulent. Chips weren’t greasy but just right, crunchy and soft on the inside. Fish batter crispy and stuck to the fish. Delicious and hot they fry when you order so it isn’t left out soggy and warm.
