Played on the 9 hole Dean golf course across the road from the main course. Fantastic course with plenty of challenges especially when its windy. Dean course is well maintained and is normally quite quiet and is slightly easier than the main course too.

NOURISHMENT & SUSTENANCE FOR BOTH BODY AND MIND - Only became aware recently, that the Isle of Purbeck Golf Club’s restaurant and breakfast “café” are open to the public. We had a cooked breakfast and very nice it was. Served by pleasant smiling accommodating "café" staff. The Receptionist on duty and the “Shop Assistant(?)” were welcoming. They were brief actions but it was a nice feeling speaking to people who gave their time and showed interest in what one had to say and made conversation in return or endeavoured to make eye contact and indicated a greeting. From the tables one can see the pleasing, fresh looking well-taken-care-of greens of the golf course; and beyond, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island, etc. There were tables outside individually identified by tortoises(?) – sweet! Visually aesthetic vista, all of it. (Thinks) Joyful working on a site with changing panoramic views. :>)The Ladies' Changing facility with wc. Popped in and came out effervescing chuckles. There where benches in the generously sized room with books, etc, covered with what I could perhaps describe as vivacious chintzy bohemian fabric; awoke a latent free spirit something in me. Should be nice and warm to sit on if only briefly. Cherishingly thoughtful and adorable! One just had to touch if one was tactile.

I first played this fantastic course around 35 years ago and yesterday with the strong winds, bright sunshine, and drizzle in the 4 1/2 hour round, with best views of any golf course I have ever played, I could not believe the quality of the fairways, rough or greens. The day was completed with great sandwiches and beer in the wonderful clubhouse presented by very friendly helpful staff. All twelve of us will be back soon for more!!

Amazing quality food and stunning views from the restaurant. High standard service and generous portions. Had a lovely evening and will definitely be going back. Thank you!

Played today was very windy but thoroughly enjoyed it and very reasonable priced as the greens and fairways are probably the best in Dorset by far and the views I don't think u can beat as king Edward once said best in his kingdom hah

Played this course with my son earlier this week. Was unsure what to expect as we previously heard mixed reviews. Staff were great and the course was in incredible condition. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and will no doubt be visiting again.

Great service, beautiful views and good food. In Restaurant part ÂŁ29 for a 3 course meal pp, which going by the location, I think it's reasonably priced to.

Very nice course, tough in the wind but a fair challenge. Fairways were good, greens solid. Only improvement would be to add a few more signs to make next T location clear. The clubhouse is great, amazing views and honest food. All staff were friendly - a good day out.

Lovely unique course that will punish wayward shots. Good tees and greens. Some fairways are in need of help but some great views really make it enjoyable.
