Went in for lunch with kids and two small dogs. They were large portions and very nice. My daughter loved the chicken nuggets. They were really nice bits of chicken. The double cheese burger and chips was great with loads of chips. Overall really pleased

We stopped in for a drink after walking a stretch of the Coastal path. The place was full of locals but we were made to feel welcome as was our well behaved dog.

Proper pub lots of nice real ales. Even has a shop with lots of local goodies.Great outside area with rustic shelter's with patio heaters just the job when you get back from a mucky mountain bike rideTo enjoy a couple of pints with your mates. Also sale good pub grub.🍻👍🚴‍♂️

Lovely beer, people to chat with and a great burger. What more could you want on a cold night. A little cool in the back but think the other rooms were cosy and had a fire.

A late review. We visited end of July during summer holidays of 2021. We camped nearby and this was the only pub in the area. By gosh, we were not settling at all. The food, best burgers I've had in a long long time. Huge serving we couldn't finish it so we packed the remainder. Couldn't waste it! We sat in the front room with a fire place. Such a lovely space. It was raining, otherwise we'd have loved the outdoor space. I highly recommend eating there if you're nearby or passing. Seems to be rather popular(unsurprisingly). Our teenage son even said the burger was in his top 3 best burgers ever. As you can imagine, teens are usually very economical in giving praise, so it must be good right. Our daughter decided on a kids portion of fish fingers but they were also pretty big. The portion of chips was nearly the same for adults. Not unhappy about it at all, we just packed the extra as well. Oh, we also got extra onion rings, not disappointed, huge rings of juicy sweet onions in a crispy light batter, we were fightin for the last one. 4 double thumbs up!

Great pub. It was serving a multitude of beers and ales etc. When we went it was very busy with a lack of seating inside. We ended up standing about for a long time before any seats could be pinched. They were serving fresh and tasty looking pizza and hog roast also looking yummy. Members of the party I was with commended both. I personally didn't have any food. The beer garden was rammed as they had a couple of live bands on. As the evening went on there was a lot of glass getting smashed outside. When we went indoors the glass smashing continued. A mad pub on that evening. I'm sure it was an exception on that visit and it's not normally quite that mental. I'm looking forward to visiting on another occasion after a climb.

We were on holiday in the village and this little pub is a real gem. Brilliant choice of craft beers and lager on tap, Gamma Ray was our favourite 🍺 Food delicious, great veggie choice. Family friendly too so ideal with small kids.
